4GB? Why not just ordered one 2GB RAM module? I read that Apple uses 1x2GB as standard.
The Apple store says that the new iMac uses 2x1gb on the new systems. I think it has to do with the faster access.

How do you know its with UPS??? My apple order doesn't tell me who my shipper is. It just gives me a reference number on the left hand side 80xxxxxxxx format, and an order number W8xxxxxxx format.
I've tried both those codes in every UK distributer tracking system I can think of to no avail.
Under "carrier tracking number" and "assigned carrier" it just says "In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly" and has done since it shipped, makes me worried it hasn't really shipped at all.
I ordered the exact same machine and upgrade at 13:42 on the 28th except also with wireless KB and mouse. My email said on or before 9th, but apple order status says 12th.
Because the order ref changed to the UPS tracking ref. This happened after I received the e-mail from Apple to say it had been shipped. The 'Delivery Status' widget is great for tracking the order![]()
Now you're really worrying me. I had the "Your apple order has been shipped" email on the 30th, but still no reference for tracking or telling me who the delivery service is. I hope my order isn't messed up and delayed somehow. I would have though that it was sitting right next to your iMac in germany tbh.
Yeah, maybe I will. I seem to remember my iPod Touch never showing a tracking reference, so maybe they use a different delivery team for the south west. TNT perhaps.Maybe they are using another courier for you that doesn't have an order tracking facility. I'd give them a call with your order ref and ask them, maybe they just forgot to update your order status.

I ordered BTO iMac (24" 2.8 with upgraded GPU) on April 28th. Apple said it would ship between April 29th and May 1st. It actually shipping early morning on May 2nd.
The estimated delivery date from FedEx is May 7th, but it's been listed as "In transit" from Reno, NV for over 3 days now
For someone who checks the status almost every hour this is killing me!
"In Transit" now. God I hate FedEx. Love for UPS. >.<
To be honest I hear people complaining about whichever postal service Apple use, whether it be FedEx or UPS.
On a positive note, my iMac just left Brussels after arriving there just 2 and a half hours ago... I guess it didn't like Belgium much?
It's almost home...![]()
