mrscribble said:The gap between the 20 and 60 is hopefully temporary - there isn't an iPod in the lineup I'd actually buy anymore! My 15 is full, so there's no point in getting a 20; and I won't fill 60 before it's obsolete. 30/40gig would be perfect. Maybe they're waiting on the single-platter 40gig drive.

So in fact, there are no "new" iPods. Just a re-arranging of the line to make the regular iPods more desirable. So in fact, the iPod shuffle 1GB and the iPod 20GB are the best deals right now.mac-er said:They have essentially eleminated the monochromatic iPods...and replaced the 30GB with the 20GB to help make the price more attractive.
No, the discount is for high school students as well. K-12 includes highschool.Zeekium said:ok..then my mom will have to buy my stuff because im in highschool and she teaches elementary kids.
The only "new" iPod is a 30 GB iPod Photo with a 20 GB hard drive in it.Lacero said:So in fact, there are no "new" iPods. Just a re-arranging of the line to make the regular iPods more desirable. So in fact, the iPod shuffle 1GB and the iPod 20GB are the best deals right now.

US Edu price for the 1Gb shuffle has been reduced to a SWEET, almost irresistible $119.!!!MacSA said:.....just noticed they dropped the price of the 1Gb shuffle... down to £88 in the UK.
Well, all I know is that it allowed me to select my school, and it asked me if I was a student or faculty member of that high school. They may have changed it since I bought my iBook.Zeekium said:yes, but it says K-12 teacher or staff member, not student. if your saying the EDU discount is for High school kids then yea thats right...but i need to know if the "student union" deal for the iPod mini is for high school kids. Which are you talking about?
