So either you want an iPod Touch or a Zune.
inputing information on an iPod Classic and Nano would be pointless at this point withe the release of the iPod Touch.
I envision an iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano and iPod Touch. Better yet give the consumer the option to add an external screen to attach to the Shuffle and kill the iPod Nano and Classic line.![]()
Are you trying to be crucified?Bono followers know their music. There's a reason U2 is hailed one of the greatest bands of today, and of all time.
Now they are pushing cold play.... we might see a cold play ipod.... knowing apple

And what's wrong with adding some features of the Zune? I think Zune's wi-fi feature is a good idea except Microsoft have ruined it with DRM and all the other crap they do. Just sharing music over wi-fi would be great. Connect to airtunes. Keep it simple.
Im still going to go with the flower power type design, seeing as i have nothing better to do at the moment.... here they are.
Hope fully i did the upload thing right, if not i apologize, i'm new here...
i really cant picture a pattern that would look nice and not tacky on a nano..
GRRRR! Links to original photos from 9to5 please.
Yeah, and I had to put up with studying it in Music - small mercy was the the following band studied was queen.
Sorry, he is a talentless hack who runs around trying to make out he is a living saint.
Christ, I wish he would just find a place, retire and never come out again.
Now they are pushing cold play.... we might see a cold play ipod.... knowing apple
Let be guess, it'll be ice cube blue or something.

So, you're saying that the iPod Touch will basically lead to the end for the other iPod lines? I disagree to an extent. Yes, for the average consumer, the Touch is arguably the best purchase. However, as you pointed out, the Touch doesn't have nearly as much capacity as the Classic. Some people like to have their entire 10,000-song library on their iPod. Thus, the Classic is their best choice. As for the Nano, its small size and easy-to-use interface is quite appealing. Also, an 8 GB Nano is $100 less than an 8 GB Touch. Another consideration is that some people just don't want or need all the features that the Touch offers. For example, many people don't spend most of their time in areas with Wi-Fi access. Some people just want a simple music/video player.
Nevertheless, if Apple were to reduce the physical size of the iPod Touch (which would not be easy) and lower its pricetag, then it could hurt the Nano....
Overall, there is some--but not total--overlap amongst the iPod lines. I think this new color scheme is just a way to help distinguish the Nano a bit more.
Apple is not attending the Paris Expo, as far as I know (and hasn't since 2006). They use a different event to announce new iPods.I hope this rumour stays just that. I think if iPods ever became multi-coloured then they would look hideous. That being said, if there's anyone who could make a multi-coloured design look good, it's Apple.
Don't know if its been said, but it appears that the iPod event is 17th-20th Sep, with new products being released on the 17th.

I don't think it will happen for at least a while, for a few reasons.I predict that apple will kill off the ipod nano and the ipod classic. I think all new ipods will now be wifi capable and able to connect to itunes store like the ipod touch and iphone.
That must mean the dead of the click wheel, if the wheel dies then expect to see a mini ipod touch replace the nano.
