I've had white SP for a couple weeks. Like it a lot but still trying to work leather so flap stays flat on phone when lying face up on table

MS

Yep, I still like mine. I have taken it off many times and it still sticks back on just fine.

I have received many compliments and people asking where to get one.

I love it, but so disapointed.

I love this case, but is anyone else having this problem?
I had to send my first Surfacepad back because it coming apart. Now the replacement one is also doing it.

Hang in there and don't be disappointed as long as Twelve South is standing on their product and offer to replace it. I'm sure it happens at least once to anyone where you get a new replacement and it has the same issue or sometimes it's worse.

How did you contact Twelve South and did you have to send the Surface first before they sent a replacement? Thanks!

I contacted there technical support team which was great. They sent out the replacement. and i sent back the broken one. but this is happening again. they need to stitch the edges instead of gluing them. Im just pissed that i have to go through the replacement process again... and then maybe again after that.

I had that issue. Sent the photos to Twelve South Customer Support.
They sent the replacement within two days via FedEx and I had to send the defective product back Within 14 Days or they'll charge you for it.

So far mine isn't suffering from that same one... YET

yeah they did that the first time too.. and now for the 2nd time..

this is part of what i got from the tech support team.

"I'm so sorry to hear that the layers have started separating on your new SurfacePad for iPhone! I know how disappointing that is, and sadly, quite a few customers have had that same experience with the first shipment of SurfacePads we received from our manufacturer. We have addressed this defect with the factory and they have made the necessary corrections in production and quality control, so the SurfacePads we're now shipping should not have this problem."

Was this from the first time? Cause I do feel that the material inside the leather seems "stiffer" and "sturdier" i'm not sure if that's just the thought that's in my head or it's actually true. We'll see in a few weeks.

White SP getting a bit dirty and smudged....any recommendations on ways to clean? Using soap and water right now. Just wondering if there is anything better

A friend of mine had the same problem with his case, the separation wasn't as bad but I'm sure it would have gotten worse with time.

Use a leather cleaner. Make sure you get a good one. I've used this, http://www.bickmore.com I've also used a car seat cleaner in the past, zymol.

Yup.....this is what I have been waiting for. I have tried so many cases and I finally have some closure. This thing is unreal. I can understand that many would avoid this, but I love the slimness of the iPhone and this is just enough to protect for me. The leather is unreal. Its perfect.

I bought the Spigen Ultra Flip, mainly for the card slot (mine will hold two credit cards), and then I bought the RevJams folder, the cover has magnets (like the iPad Smart Cover) to let it fold triangularly into a stand; the side benefit is the magnets also help the RevJams cover lay flat on the phone screen, no lifting up.

But being the phone case glutton that I am (!), I was about to pull the trigger on this TwelveSouth case but now I want to wait to see if the seam separation issue is resolved. To be fair, the edging around the RevJams cover appears to be "melted" or "molded" together, although it is unknown whether this will help it hold up any better than the glued edges of the TS. We'll see.

I gave up on it and went back to SGP Slim armor.
Surfacepad is just too cumbersome and, well, annoying.

Sending back.

I would if you really like it. But, it's not perfect. I'm afraid the SurfacePad has more to do with personal preference than anything else. Many aren't going to like using it.

Well, I borrowed a friends iPad mini for a about a week, and I really enjoyed using it with the smart cover on, and I hardly used my iPhone at all.

It's not really the same experience.

Ohh, thats a shame, as I really enjoyed using the 3G iPad mini as an iPhone replacement for a while, so, can you like type with double hands with the SurfacePad? Whats the whole experience like? I did have one crud flip-over-the-top leather case, and I hated it, but this seems different.

I purchased both the twelvesouth and the revjams case. IMO the Revjams is a better fit. The front flap lays flat on the iphone. Looks just like the ipad cover. The only flaw is that the back of the case is a fingerprint magnet. They should have used a matte finish instead of a shiny finish.

FWIW, 4 pics of the Revjams case from my ipod. Sorry about the blur, but ipod not good with pics. BTW, I have a glas.tr screen protector and it fits without a problem.

Now that you mention it, the RevJams cover has a teeny bit of clearance when flat on the iPhone screen. Actually perfect for the trGlas screen! Damn you I now have yet something Else to buy...:D

and I may take a piece of 600 grit WetOrDry sandpaper to that glossy case back. Just to matte it up a little...
