Yeah I don't know. I have always liked the white phone. My iPhone 6+ is the white ( or if we are technical is silver), and I got the Nexus 5 in white. The blue is not bad. I just like the white better. Who do you like the next program? I am still on the unlimited data, so I would just be adding an additional cost to my bill.

Honestly, I moved off of unlimited a while ago for the ability to tether. This year, my wife and I finally dropped off our respective family plans to create our own. We are on the 10GB share (AT&T bumped it up to 20GB) with unlimited talk and text for $130/month (would normally be $100 + $30 per line but you get a $15 discount on Next). My 6+ costs us about $51/month and her 6 costs $31/month. My iPad adds another $10/month though that will go away next month as I simply tether via continuity to my 6+.

I'm a big fan of Next because it gives me the freedom and ability to pay off my device if I so choose, or upgrade within a year, year and a half or two years.

My wife doesn't use hardly any data and I rarely use more than 5GB (my work phone is still on unlimited). Works out really well for us - especially since I tend to upgrade annually anyways.

Oh ok. Sounds like it works out well. Yeah I was thinking about doing the data shared plan because unlimited is just not worth it anymore. I am on a family plan, so I would need my family to be on board too. Plus I don't think they are doubling the 10gb plan anymore. Just the 15gb and more. Oh well I think the motorola financing will work well for me.

Just a little info I thought I would pass along from a poster on the android forums about the AT&T contract Nexus 6

"I have updated information from my call to AT&T Tech Support Android Division minutes ago.

Important Note:

I did not get this information from the "Call Center" but the Actual Android Tech Support Dept within AT&T Mobility Engineering Area.

This is the answer to how, when and who will push out Android OS Updates, bug patches, and increasingly critical "Google Play Services Udate" software modules to AT&T Nexus 6 models.

Bottom line: All updates will be routed from Google through AT&T for evaluation and approval, and then to the Customer.

Just like the past and present practice, there's neither a timeline, or assurance, as to what or when customers will receive any or all updates.

My opinion?

If your interested in the pure Google experience that occurs via having your Nexus device running the latest OS updates, bug fixes, et.al. from Google, buy your Nexus directly from Google via the Google Play Store."

If you were planning on getting the Nexus 6 get it through Google Play. Of course AT&T will screw things up.

I hope that is not true..... But then reps are known to not have the very best information. Time will tell.

so they are pulling a verizon? :( that story needs more press

Yep it seems so. What a job AT&T is. If I get this phone it will unlocked from the GP or motorola. What is the purpose in having a nexus phone?

I am sure AT&T is trying to keep this one on the down low. They will get so much crap for this. As they should.

Yeah I am not saying this is 100% true, but when I saw that every carrier was getting this phone for contract. I had a bad feeling AT&T would of this. I had the Nexus S on contract back in day, and I only say 2 updates in its lifecycle through AT&T. There were more like 5 or more from Google.

Go over to XDA and you will find people saying the same thing and others saying the exact opposite about what you you posted. But until the N6 is released and we verify it is all just conjecture.

Has anyone bought a T-Mobile N5? where did your updates come from? I'll bet they came from Google.......

I am pretty sure T-Mobile has always had the updates come from Google. AT&T and Verizon are the only carriers that I know of that do this. I think even Sprint leaves the updates to Google.

I did not want to start anything, but I did want to give a word or warning. I had it happen to me with the Nexus S, and I just did not want anyone to be surprised. My bet is that AT&T will control updates.

That was actually from the arstechnica review. The pink only appeared in a special ultra low brightness mode that goes dimmer than other phones do, it's for people who want the option to go as dim as possible regardless of color balance.

The performance issue is much more of a concern, overall it seems like the phone may not live up to the specs, particularly at that price.

Thanks for the clarification.

Imagine an AT&T Nexus 6 with a locked bootloader, carrier bloat, and AT&T branding/logos. Oh the horror!

Sprint released a 20GB plan for $100/month or something like that in late October and for a limited time (expired on Oct 31st) you could call their retention department and request a "price match" which got your 10GB doubled.

There was a thread about it somewhere around here.

Good review of the Nexus 6 camera - http://www.dxomark.com/Phones/Googl...andset-storms-in-to-the-DxOMark-Mobile-top-10

Comes out higher than the Iphone 5S, S4 and Pureview 808. I am convinced that the only problem with any nexus camera is the post processing s/w. This is where Apple, Sony and Samsung have invested $$$'s and it shows. If Google would do the same I think we'd see very good results. The imaging h/w is good - it's just the s/w that lets it down.
