The 5x screen looks a bit bigger than the GS6 and both are supposed to be 5.2".
I'm not really interested in the new Nexus 5x. Liked my N5 but I like the extra features on my S6 so I'm sticking with it. Pure Android is kinda bland. 5P is to big. Not interested at all
Apple uses low end displays? Get out. It's probably too costly. Companies like Apple would rather use low end displays that bring in higher profits. Just look at all the issues people are having with the iPhone 6S and 6S+ displays though.
Every post is a lame dig. Every single post .....Apple uses low end displays? Get out.
@MRU You made a comment about how Anti-Apple this guy is. Didn't believe till now.

Apple displays are great and high end, the cost saving comes with the reaolution. But that also means better battery life.
I played with the 6S yesterday, seems fine to me but I have to say the implementation of the 3D touch is very poorly utilised and doesn't always work. Not good for Apple.
I have had my 6s Plus since day one. I am finding 3d Touch be a huge letdown for me. It has not been implemented very well across apps. Some third party apps you can expect updates from the devs soon. But even the built in Apple apps like music and weather really do not work well. The options available or not useful. I use 3DT on the music app and get the last song i played, seach and a Beats Music playlist that does not exist. I have never used Beats.Yeah I played with one recently too. Was none too impressed by 3d touch even though I think in theory it's a good idea.
Don't mean to derail the thread but just a few thoughts on it:
Firstly, I'm not comfortable pressing harder on the screen. Yes it's slight and the vibration helps tell you when you've successfully done a hard press but it still feels uncomfortable to me. I much prefer long press. Doesn't require any additional strength, little though it may be. It's the same thing with physical home buttons versus on screen buttons. You have to apply a certain level of pressure AND reverse pressure to depress the button. Whereas on screen buttons just require your every day common tap.
Secondly, 3d touch has the same problem as swiping backwards to go back in ios (the lack of a dedicated back button is one of the biggest issues I have with going back to ios. I love that it's always there reliably on android devices). 3d touch is not consistent and you don't know what app has it. And that's frustrating. I was literally 3d pressing app icons on the home screen pages trying to figure out which had them and which didn't. This will change over time but for now, the lack of consistency is bothersome. I think 3d touch won't really come into play until iPhone 7.
And thirdly, 3d is virtually useless in other implementations like in mail. Pop and peek is pointless. It's so much faster and easier for to muscle memory to just tap into the email and tap back than it is to peek at it then press harder to fully go into it.
Anyway, just my thoughts. Back to nexus....

Exactly....The thing with Live photos is it only works on the device the photos were taken with. You can't email or message them and have that feature work.I tested the iPhone 6s+ for 24hrs and IMO, it's just another iPhone with 2GB of RAM; which isn't a bad thing.
The 3D force touch is a nice implementation but it falls short, I feel. Maybe after a year--or with iPhone 7--when more developers implement it, it'll really be worth considering.
Live photos is also cool but just doesn't feel like it's there yet.
Anyways, back to the Nexus.
Fi doesnt seem like all that good of a deal if you use a lot of data but dont talk much. The Tmobile $30 deal seems the best around if you have good coverage
People want phones to be untied to carriers but now question why it's not being sold in carrier stores? If you must see it in person before you buy wait for Best Buy store demo or other participating stores.

Why not the option to browse my playlists i already have on the phone?
Trigger pulled. 64GB 6P in graphite with new Google Fi service!! Not sure what took me so long but the screen news put me over the edge. With Google Fi you get the same $50 play gift card but also 50% off a case. They also finance in monthly payments over 24 months interest free. 5-6 week countdown begins.
6S plus is going to my wife when it comes.

That $50 Play Store credit is an awesome bonus.
Post your impressions when you get it! What are ship times? End of Oct?
Yeah I like the look of the gold one too. It's a damn shame the Gold isn't available in the US. It's probably my favorite.
In the Reddit AMA;
They ignored every question about why they are not selling through US Carriers. This was the most commonly asked question.
I'm like thinking, that's one of the most important questions, why will this not be sold in U.S. Carrier stores ? Especially T-Mobile stores, as they have carried and stocked every single Nexus phone the past six years. I could see Verizon or ATT not selling it, but T-Mobile has been a big supporter of the Nexus phones, as far as carriers go.
So the Nexus 6P will be nowhere to be seen or played with in stores, you just have to hope you think you'll like it and order it online only ? That's crazy. I always want to hold it in hand, mess around it with it for 30 minutes in the store, really get a feel for the phone, before deciding.
