Has anyone got a good MTP sync client to use for Nexus 6P on OS X other than the absolute bare basic 'Android File Transfer' which Google provides? I've tempted but the lack of a piece of software that allows MTP and keep track of what music I have loaded on my device makes me reluctant about moving away from my iPhone.

Yeah android file transfer is very basic. I essentially use iSyncr for music transfer and Photos app if I want to put photos from the device to my Mac and the android file transfer only when really necessary.

Are Mobdro and Showbox secure and trusted?

Also, what's the 6P like compared to the Note 5? Screen, battery and performance?
I don't have any inside information, but I'm decently well read on the subject. The screens are essentially the same, however Samsung's full package for the Note 5 screen is better tuned, as the screens are Samsung's.

As far as battery and performance, I believe pure android makes the 6P perform better and the Nexus 6P battery is about 20% larger. YMMV. I tend to be very conservative with my LTE usage and I do most downloading by default on WiFi, so my battery is excellent.

How did you get it so cheap ?
It was a Google black friday/cybermonday promo, which was matched by third party sellers. $80 off either version of the 5x. And, yes, $299 is the right price for the base 5x - it's easier to accept its comparable shortcomings when it's a full $200 less than the base 6p.

Probably in USA, probably not in UK & Ireland. Sod's law

You mean " Murphy's law ". Never heard of sod

Off topic, but I can't stand how some people use the word kit. WTF is a kit ? Maybe an model airplane kit you are going to put together. Who the heck says " Hey look at this cool piece of kit ". That makes zero sense, and sounds like Ebonics.

Or " my mates ". Huh your what ? A mate I suppose would be your wife, someone your having children with. But you should say my buddies or friends. Mates sounds super strange and very weird.

Merica F. yeah.

Ha ha LOL.

Yeah but you have to accept the world is a very big place. Different phrases mean different things to different cultures. When other people hear some of the phrases we (meaning people from the US) say....they have the same gut reaction you did. But we all have to embrace each other's differences. I think some of the phrases and sayings I hear from others here are priceless! I am sure others read what we say and are quite amused! :)

Absolutely. I said that in jest. Just funny some of the different countries casual speak.

Just like us ( Americans ) I'm sure sound pretty silly in stuff we say, that to others sounds strange

Is there a way to make chrome faster or block ads on Android? Browsing on my 5X is a joke compared to browsing on my 6S with a content blocker

In certain parts of the world you'd call your mates/buddy 'dear'. In Europe and USA the same word can take on a totally different meaning lol

I've noticed browsing is much quicker on the 6s plus compared to the note 4 I had. Out of interest what content blocker ?

The 6S/6S+ have the fastest browsing capabilities of any phone on the market right now, even without a content blocker. So you're never going to match it on a 5X which isn't even an especially fast Android phone.

I run AdAway on every Android phone I've owned for years. Stops all ads all the time. I never see big banners on Chrome, and websites scroll smooth as butter.

I had a good look and play with a mates new Nexus 6p yesterday.

Nice, not a phone I'd buy.
It looks so boring. And I don't like that rubber line at the top and bottom. Sure, it's practical and makes it easier to hold but it's so big not a lot will help it!

The back looks good, not so crazy on the front.

Screen is lovely and very impressive.
I don't have a problem using phones with 2 hands but even in 2 hands this felt ginormous!

Good feedback. I really fear the size, too.

I'm waiting on a good holiday deal (still bummed there wasn't a deal on the 6P during Black Friday/Cyber Monday) to give it a shot, especially since the return window has been extended to Jan 22nd. Could give the 6P a proper 2 week or so try. I guess that's the whole point. Google wants you to fall for the device while it's in your hand...
