Even with the VPN as a part of wifi assist feature?
I could be wrong about it. I will ask one of my buddies tomorrow at work from the mobile side of things. We had a discussion about stock rooted devices with OEM bootloaders unlocked on free public wifi networks and the risks. At my work we have about 10K mobile devices and they are set to never join a public wifi network.

Can they join open networks manually, like in WiFi settings, or does your mdm lock open networks out completely? Just curious

@Surf Donkey,
I am really interested with project fi with your blessing, questions I have are
1. will there be some way to know who calls my phone ? say through PC.
2. Can you block numbers on phone ?

1. Yes, via Hangouts integration (which is pretty integral to Project Fi). I have the Chrome extension installed in Windows and anytime I get a call, it goes to my computer and phone. You can answer the call either way. Text messages (SMS and Hangouts can be combined) also go to my PC and phone. Works very much like iMessage.

2. Yes, more info here:
https://support.google.com/fi/answer/6201380
[doublepost=1457463115][/doublepost]Oh one other thing, quite critical to Project Fi. It only really works with Nexus Phones (currently 6, 5x, 6P). You need to have a Project Fi app installed and the stock image framework has some functionality included as well. There are a couple custom ROMs for the Nexus devices that support Project Fi.

It won't let a company device join a non trusted/company wifi network. We have wifi on company campuses across the country.

Well, i made the jump, picked myself up a Nexus 6P a few days ago. I'm coming from an iPhone 6 so it's a pretty jarring size difference when i first held it, but i'm slowly getting used to it. I've mostly had iPhones for the past 6 years, but i've used Android on 2 separate occasions.

So far, i absolutely love this phone, i was leary of switching OS's, but i'm not regretting my jump from iOS one bitm afterall it's just a phone.

The 6P is a great phone! What color did you get?

Price has dropped to $449 (no tax) plus free $50 gift card. So, basically you are looking at $399 for the 32GB Nexus 6P. The same deals apply for the 64GB version and Nexus 5X. The no tax is on Newegg and B&H PhotoVideo...Amazon, Best Buy, etc. are charging taxes.

I will probably pick up a Nexus 6P (for the 3rd time!) since Android N adds some more functionality that I want. I found stock Android a little too dull for my taste, but the new operating system looks promising.

Hey 6P users....
what battery app do you guys use? I got the percentage to show on the battery icon on my 6P but tis too small to see. Do you guys use something else? I was looking for something that would show the percentage in numbers hopefully next to the battery icon. Thanks!

GSam Battery Monitor is my favorite. Lots of themes to choose from. You get loads of input on battery usage as well beyond what is in standard settings.

For a true overlay of the system battery I think you do need to buy an icon pack. I haven't tried it. Two hour return window though, so worth a check:

Picked up my N6P (Gold) from Best Buy tonight. Jeez, it felt huge coming from my iPhone 6S that I've been using as my daily for the last few weeks. First thing first, install Android N.

Anyone sticking with the Nexus 6P vs ditching it for the new Samsung phones? Just installed the new March update on the nexus and it just flies right now. Really nice performance improvement.

I've gone back to the 6P

I decided to sell the s7 edge and keep my Nexus 6P. Was such a tough decision. I loved the edge but just think the size of the Nexus works better for me, plus having access to to Android N and future updates was too good to good to give up.

You tried and found what's best for you. That's no bad thing.

For me the ideal dream scenario would be stock marshmallow or android N on the S7 edge :)

I know Jerry Rig is trying to show this as educational, but I personally thing he just loves to hate on the 6P.

OIS in the s7 is much better than the EIS in the 6P. No duh. Well, maybe videos like this will get some traction so Google puts them in the next Nexus. Real shame they left it out here.

And really, as stupid as the bend videos are, I highly doubt that dude couldn't bend the s7 Edge.

Yeah I noticed it too. I don't think the eis even works in 4k.
