The only thing I am excited about in iOS14 is the album art visualizer in Apple Music so it isn't white/black all the time.

On the iPad the Scribble feature looks cool and also the sidebar to apps.

I wish they release OS stuff in iOS-release and did app updates through the year through the app store like every other platform out there does. It does not make sense to save new stock app tweaks for a whole year.

Worth installing the public beta on my 8+? It’s my daily iPhone but this beta sounds buggy.

As @gwhizkids says, it's pretty solid for a beta release.

Do your research on the BROKEN/BUGGY apps thread to make sure none of your 'must have' apps are not working... beta releases can be fickle, but so far iOS 14 has been pretty solid as a beta release.

No other storage issues here on my iPhone or iPad. My only issues are the random resprings.

How is the battery life? I have the XR. Currently on 13.5.1. The battery was the best on 12. On 13 it’s good, but slightly less than on 12. I hope that iOS 14 will show an increase.

Jump on the beta train, it's been awesome so far, feels like a final release.

The new incoming call feature is worth upgrading for, no more hijacked phone when you receive a phone call. 😊

Best feature in iOS 14. 😍

Followed closely by PiP on Facetime calls. Then widgets. At the moment, I have widgets for the sake of having widgets, and they don't update properly, but I like the fact I can put three 2x2 widgets on the left of the screen and hence shift app icons to two rows on the right.

is it possible not to place apps or other things on any page now, so I really just mean a clean background image only? I have been looking forward to that for so long to post a nice photo on my homescreen

am amazed that (at least, so far) every app works (was concerned about my bank, etc). phone is fast, st

just put some apps in the dock, and the rest of the page can be blank; the dock is going to be there...

So far so good for me. I put it on my old 6s and it runs as well for me as iOS 13 did and I do like the app library myself.

App Library a hot mess....

Works fine for my needs. It works as designed and demoed. I suspect it just doesn't work for what you want, which will not be how Apple designed it. At least you're not forced to use it, and if Apple change it's function later to something that suits your needs, you can use it then. :)

hmm... i keep trying to scroll across in the weather widget, and down in the calendar widget. anyone else? would be great if this were implemented at some point.

Yes. I have four locations in my weather app... would love to be able to scroll horizontally through them in the widget. Hopefully that will be in a future (soon!?!) update.

Not saying its not going to happen, but my guess is iOS 15 at the earliest. These widgets are not designed to be interactive. Some do have deep links embedded in them, but that seems to be about it.

It would be better if we could just have a 1 touch to an alphabetized library. If we want to categorize we still have folders.

I like the categories folders, I binned off all the ones I made, so I have 1 home screen that is widgets (including the 2x4 Siri suggestions) and then either use the categories, or the list. I agree that we should be able to chose which is the default in the App Library though.
