Mmm, I can only share the feeling...

My iMac 24" was planned for shipping on Sep. 22, and for delivery on Oct. 28 in The Hague (The Netherlands). So, kinda same route.
Right now, the status window plans a shipping on Sep. 28 and a delivery on Oct. 8... :(

Only differences with your config are a 2.33 GHz chip, and a Dutch keyboard (only).

Maybe a shortage on 7600? Apple didn't expect so many people to go for it?

Other detail: the delay between shipping and delivering increased. It could be that they changed transporter, and the new one has less shipping spots. Or they want to make the customer happy, hoping for an earlier delivery.
 
24" Mac

My 24" Imac 2.16Ghz 2Gb 7600GT arrived on Wednesday. It was a replacement for my 20" Imac that I returned under the 14 day returns policy after Apple upgraded the range.

The 24" is so fast and beautiful it knocks spots off my PC. However this one too will have to be returned as it is soooooooo big it blocks the light coming in from my office window.;)

Well, i just ordered my Core 2 duo 17 inch 2.0ghz iMac! So excited:D , should be here by friday.....this is going to be a long week of waiting:( , i can tell already!
 
I posted a few days ago saying that Apple had pushed my delivery date a few weeks back - well looks like it was some crazy talk from their side. I got an e-mail today saying that the iMac is shipped and will be delivered to me around Oct 4th (instead of 24th).

Got mine on friday, picked it up from heathrow depot. Yes it blocks my window also :eek:

You have just got to play with google earth on this monster, brings it into a whole new dimension.

Its great for use with my eyeTV for freeview in the bedroom. The sound is also great from the internal spkrs.

Update: the Apple Order Status window indicates the iMac was shipped today, with an expected delivery date of October, 3rd.

So, later than the initial shipping date but earlier than the latest date... :confused:
 
I drove to Indy yesterday and bought my first Mac, a 20" Core 2 Duo iMac. It's stock for now; I think it's running adequately on 1GB of RAM, I'm just going to keep an eye out for a good sale and if I see one I'll upgrade to 2GB.

The screen is astonishingly bright! My Dell 1901fp that I currently have it hooked up to (which will be replaced with a Dell 2007wfp in short order) looks dim and washed out in comparison. It is also eerie when I walk into my room and don't hear anything -- I've been accustomed to having 3 or more PCs running in my room (all of which I sold to get the iMac), which of course gets noisy. And hot. Here's a picture of it when I first got it setup last night:

I have a couple issues I hope someone can help me with, see my other thread.
 
17" CTO (or so it says). the high end 17" option. Though I have added wireless keyboard and mice at just £30 extra. that is nothing! Especially when the mouse costs £50 on its own! I've been using a Logitech V500 for roughly 2 years now and I really can't go back to cluttered wires.

I cannot wait for this! Pity I'm back at university this week as I'd love a free week to get used to this machine!

Ordered 23rd. Shipped by 27th. Delivered by 29th.
Pity, all my other Apple orders have arrived just days after placing the order. iPod took 48 hours, PowerBook took 3 days. Ah well :D
 
i still didn't get mine, its been like a week. The tracking hasn't been updated which has me worried. It says it will be delivered on tues but it still says in in CA
 
so i ordered my stock iMac 17" 2.0Ghz on saturday and i got the email saying it was supposed to ship until thursday.......

2 hours later i got an email saying that my iMac had shipped! Fedex has no record of it yet which is understandable seeing as it is still the weekend but i am expecting that the location should be updated monday and then i should have my iMac by the end of the week if not sooner!

But i have to admit, i am really impressed that my computer shipped within 2 hours of buying it, albeit the computer is stock, but when my dad ordered his dell it took it 5 days to ship and he ordered on a monday, i ordered on a saturday! Apple, i am very impressed.....now i just hope that fedex can impress me as well!

CAN"T WAIT!:D

UPDATE!!!! My iMac has appeared on the fedex tracking site and has an estimated delivery date of TUESDAY! Less than four days from ordering! And i ordered on a weekend! I am continually amazed!:D
 
Went and bought a 24 on friday night, I cannot believe I stayed with my 17 for so long!
Although the amount of screen real estate is a bit stupid, call of duty 2 looks fantastic running at 1920x1200 :D
 
Bought the entry level 17" on Saturday, getting on really well with it so far :) Way faster than the 1.25Ghz Mini it replaced. I ordered a 1Gb stick of RAM from Crucial this morning, should arrive tomorrow so that should beef the performance up hopefully.

just ordered my 24" with 7600GT and tv tuner!! the iMac arrives on Friday but the tuner wont arrive till October 15th:(

Still stoked regardless!

Congrats on all the new purchases.

This thing rocks.

Even in XP it's awesome... I was able to surf the net, Install Company of Heros on the internal drive, Rip a DVD on the *beast* DVD/Combo external, and write a DVD on the 16X DVDRW external, all at the same time.

:) And it finished with ZERO flaws, even in Windows.

Fast fast fast... you guys will LOVE this machine :)
