the OPO5 looks to be a great phone for the price.
But kinda wanted to see waterproofing and maybe wireless charging. But I do like the alert slider. Wish more phones had that kind of button like my 7+.

I restrained myself ..... at the last minute.
I want to hear feedback from users first.
Bezel fail. Live event fail. Megapixel race fail. They say don't focus on just the specs but the specs are the only real highlight and they're not even being utilized for things like Windows 10 DeX. Throughout the prerecording I was thinking I wouldn't pay more than about 55% of say a Galaxy S8+ so at least they got the price about right. The only good thing spotted in the video is their call center phone system.

I'm going to get one from the Helsinki pop-up tomorrow. Official waterproofing would've been nice, but seems like they've continued with splashproofing without an actual IP rating. The 3T manual mentioned that it should withstand rain and such, but you shouldn't submerge it. According to a friend with some connections to OnePlus, they've improved the splash resistance from what it was in the 3T. So while that's far from perfect, at least it's something and I can live with it for the price.

No waterproofing makes me not happy. And this review makes me think the camera is not as good as it sounds.

That and MicroSD support.
They are inching ever close to the perfect smartphone though.
That pricing won't be best by anyone outside China
This is an area that always suffers and there tends to be a quantum gulf between the 'captured on oneplus' promo photos and actual end user results. I must admit I am disappointed the extra lens is essentially just for portrait mode, when a wide angle offers far more versatility and extra functionality to your shooting options compared to just a zoom/portrait mode.
It ships with Nougat 7.1.1....my S8+ doesn't even have that!
