I doubt that very much.....I doubt OPO has their eye on the N6 at all. This is them finally getting production ramped up.
We know you don't like OPO TB...we get it. Some of us do like the OPO phone. Some might even feel about the N6 like you do about OPO......we just don't put it down to be considerate of others that might like the phone.....

Actually I do like the OnePlus One, just not the company and the whole way they went about sales, etc... I like Cyanogen and Steve K. wish him and CM the best, just feel bad how OPO started off their first phone.

I think the OnePlus is like a Nexus 5-1/2, it's bigger and better spec'd than the Nexus 5, sort of a half next gen compared to the Nexus 5. But it's smaller and not as highly spec'd as the upcoming Nexus 6.

I will wait for the true reveal of the Nexus 6, see hands on videos first, if it's too large or not to my liking, then I will purchase a OnePlus One. IMO if the Nexus 6 is the same physical size and weight as the OnePlus One, I'll get the N6, but if it's truly larger and heavier, no thanks, I'll get the OnePlus.

I'm a stock Android fan, I hate Touchwiz, I think LG's UI is ok, and Sense 6 the best of them all besides stock.

Anyways, as an AOSP fan, these are my list of top Android phones that run stock Android, or close;

- HTC One M8 GPE
- OnePlus One
- Nexus 5

I am sure the Nexus 6 will move to #1, but it's just rumors and an unreleased product at this point.

Thank you, I am very tempted, and will hit you up for one pretty soon, but I really want to see solid specifics on the Nexus 6 first. Real pictures on the size, not just rumors.

And will the OnePlus One get stock Android L soon ?

LOL funny how these invites are coming in all over the place now. Are they just a little worried the upcoming Nexus 6 will put a major dent in the OnePlus One sales ? They should be.

- Nexus 6 will be the same physical size as the OnePlus even though the N6 has a 5.9" screen, but is supposed to have very minimal bezels and squeeze in that huge screen into a 5.5" body.

- Spec's on the Nexus 6 are next gen, across the board compared to the OnePlus One.

- The Nexus 6 will ship with Android L out of the box, not have to wait for 90 days until the update gets released.

- Price of the Nexus 6 is supposed to be very close , in the $399 range.

BEST CASE SCENARIO FOR NEXUS 6 PRICING

16GB Nexus 6 = $349 (same price as the 16GB Nexus 5)
32GB Nexus 6 = $399 (same price as the 32GB Nexus 5)
64GB NExus 6 = $449

compare to $349 for the 64GB OnePlus One.

just check ebay, look like INVITE price has plummeted. $2-4.

And there are 451 invites for sales right now too.

I fully agree with you price assumptions.
That would mean a 100 usd premium for stock android and google support.

Even if One+1 has high specs, it is not perceived as new any more ; nexus 6 will not have lower specs but will benefit from this fresh product and end of year effects.
Even if One+ has its own ramp up plans and constraints, i am affraid Nexus 6 could just slow their development as targeted clients are somehow the same with a device price tag that should not be that different...

Good coverage from the New York Times

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/10/09/t...ne-review-high-hopes-for-low-price-phone.html
Low Price, High Hopes for OnePlus Phone

Carl Pei, who directs the global division, said that of OnePlus’s global staff, a third of the employees are from Asia, a third from Europe and a third from the United States. “We don’t really think of ourselves as a Chinese start-up,” he said.

After winning a few glowing reviews this year in the American and European tech press, the One became a sensation among techies far beyond China. “Very soon our sales outside of China will surpass sales in China,” Mr. Pei said during a recent interview.

While he would not provide exact sales numbers, Mr. Pei said the One was selling in the “mid-to-high four figures a day in the U.S.,” which he said constituted 30 percent of the company’s market. That would imply sales of 150,000 to 300,000 phones a month in the United States, and up to a million devices a month over all — a rounding error in the global smartphone business, but an admirable feat for a tiny, year-old start-up.

https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/the-october-pre-orders-warm-up-round-2.141696/

30,000 invites for signing a Google Form with your email address.

Posted at 2:55PM.
All 30,000 invites gone at 4:06PM.

1 hour and 11 minutes

(last time it took 48 minutes for all 20,000 invites to be gone).

Look like we could be 7-10 days away from the pre-order going live:

Our imminent and long-awaited pre-ordering system for the One is just around the corner. Last week we sent 20,000 invites your way as a kind of warm up before the pre-ordering begins. And in case you missed out on that tornado, we decided to do one more little test, this time sending out 30,000 invites yesterday.

Anyone having any issues with T-Mobile service? seems like I get great service everywhere, but one bar ( LTE) indoors...... I ordered a signal booster from T-Mobile to see if I can get full LTE at home and nothing has changes, I was under the impression that the bands in the OPO are compatible with t-Mobile LTE bands..... If i turn LTE off I seem to get 4 bars or so ( switches from H+/3G) speed tests vary from 5Mbps to 14Mbps

Also anyone know if there is anything similar to StyleSwap covers out there? I've searched on Amazon and eBay and no luck

Although I will be replacing my OnePlus One for a Nexus 6 (I love huge screens), this phone still is the best bargain on the market. I am glad it will retain its value considering the Nexus 6 won't be in the same price bracket anymore.

Damn. I know you feel stupid right now in regards to that price. By the way, do you need an invite for the OPO? It's $300 cheaper. :)

I bet the OnePlus Two won't be this cheap. Why? They did this because they were a startup company and needed secure growth. Now everyone knows who they are, so they don't need to make another cheap phone and therefore can increase the price next year.

They might raise the price. But only if they do direct sales. If they stick to any kind of invite system or flash sales then the price will be the same or very minimally higher.

It's a flagship killer. They shouldn't raise the price much like the Nexus 6 did

agreed...it breaks their whole spiel if they raise the price too much. I can see a materials cost/price increase as those things do go up in price. But if they get greedy their whole mantra falls apart......

A 50 dollar Increase is alright but I'm not sure to be honest

I do not agree with that at all. They do not have the carriers to back them up, so they cannot afford to charge a premium price. If google was mostly going to sell this device through the play store, it would have remained under $450. The fact is they got onboard the carrier train, and they can now demand a premium price and get it. People will sign a two-year contract and pay $199 or do 0% financing through the carriers.

This phone will sell the most in the US, and people in the US still sign contracts or at the very least do carrier financing. While the people on this forums tend to buy phones outright, that is not the norm. If oneplus decided to charge $550 or $600 for the oneplus 2, they would see a massive dip in sales.

On the other hand, google will probably sell more nexus 6's than they did nexus 5's b.c of the carriers.

Can't believe it, but I just placed my order for a OnePlus One.

Will give my HTC One M8 to my wife, who has a ****** Galaxy S4 locked down no root or anything, and it's always running out of storage, can't even update apps, and Touchwiz on the S4 is horrific.

I was waiting for the Nexus 6, but @ $700 off contract, that's too rich for my blood. And 6" is just huge, plus it's heavy and pretty thick. I'd really need to hold it in person if I decided on an N6.

For now the OnePlus is like a Nexus 5 1/2. Better and bigger than the Nexus 5, but not as fast or large as the upcoming Nexus 6. Just hope OnePlus gets 5.0 Lollipop soon.
