LOL at the 'Don't settle' BS from the One+ One guys

Looks like LG didn't settle either :p Their G3 will actually be out in the public before the One+, and have better newer specs;

- G3 has the brand new Snapdragon 805, not the old 801 on the One+
- G3 has the super high res QHD display, and is also 5.5"
- G3 has a larger battery than the One+

And LG phones have always sold the cheapest off contract compared to the flagships from Samsung, Apple, and HTC.

I heard somewhere you had to be friends on Facebook.

Thanks, I just friended them on Facebook and signed up on their website. This phone looks interesting. Would prefer a smaller phone, but the specs and price can't be beat. Apple better hurry up with the iPhone 6 announcement because I'm thinking of leaving again :D

I think I'm gonna hold off purchasing one. At first it was really enticing. But it's just too tall. And with the LG G3 coming out soon and the Moto X+1, I think it's definitely worth waiting.

Am interested in these as well. Besides, no use having a high spec well-priced product if it's near-impossible to buy for 3+ months.

I'm now at the point where I'm more than happy to pay double for a phone that is readily available when launched.

All this drip feeding info, lack of clear availability, and faffy invite lark has put me off entirely.

If OnePlus One mini was released with 4.7 inches instead, I would be all over it. At 5.5 inches, it should have a stylus as the S-Pen is used by 70% among Note users and huge differentiation from other phablet copycats.

Still $349 for a 64 GB One vs a $399 32 GB Nexus 5 is such a bargain. And Cyanogen Mod without needing to root is quite intriguing along with supporting Oppo/One Plus in their ventures. Fresh face. Not Apple or Samsung. This is just their first phone. OnePlus has alot of potential if HTC, Sony, and Motorola go fall by wayside. OnePlus is only 6 months old. Give it some time...

And when they and others are released, I bet thus one will not even blip on most folk's radar.

Especially in the US. Once the Moto X+1 and G3 are announced, I can't imagine this will be talked about all that much.

But those phones are probably going to be $600 without contract and running their own interface like Touchwiz and not Cyanogenmod. People still bring up the Nexus 5 and that phone had okay specs.

Rumors actually have the Moto X+1 at $400 off contract.

Useless comparison of a phone that is twice the cost of the OnePlus One.

Yes....but what good is a phone for half that price if no one can buy it? Then they have all these childish marketing gimmicks to hide that fact that they cannot produce the phone in anywhere near the quantities needed to satisfy the hype they generated. If you watch the video review...the phone does not live up to the hype nor does it perform as well as expected. Because they are several flagship phones being released soon....the OPO will soon be just an over hyped phone that could have been something special except for the childish marketing gimmicks and hype. Soon the LG G3 will blow it away....then the M8 Prime....and so on.....

What video are you talking about? Almost all of them said the phone was great, except the camera. Also there was a low speaker issue but that was fixed with the update. I'm not saying it's the best phone, but for it's price it's the best you can get right now. I do agree that they should have more available and invite thing is stupid.

Yeah, unless you're one of the ones invited.

Do you have an invite that you like to share :D
I guess it's good for getting people interested in it and making it a exclusive item. I think that's how I felt for awhile when the iPhone first released.

Sadly I didn't receive one. Though I did enter.

Don't worry, I also entered if I do get an invite I'll help you out. I know of only one family member that wants one. I should have 2 extras if the rumor of getting 3 invites is true.

That's very generous and I appreciate the offer. But all in all I'm due for an upgrade at the end of June. I'm gonna hold out for the iPhone 6. I have high hopes for iOS 8.
