I can't actually report them cause I'am not a part of dev program so it doesn't like my Apple ID in feedback assistant hehe. The smart move from Apple would be to allow all IDs there, cause obviously even thought I got DP1 from third party source, Apple is the only one losing for not permitting "outsiders" to report the bugs after they installed DP1.

lol. Reding this thread is like reading only the 1star ratings on Amazon for any given company. Of course you gonna get the negative opinion if that's the only source your opinion is based on. But the truth is, some (many) of these bugs reported here, happen to only small percentage of people. IMHO, as for the Developer Preview, that's a surprisingly stable build.

Well to be fair yeah if you download it from 'alternate' sources then you can't really feedback any bugs which is a shame but i guess there's a reason it's for developers only :)

I'm not on the mac dev program but am on the iOS one and they allowed us to download Yosemites this time round which is nice!

VLC Player, sound through HDMI does not work at all.

Every other app with sound works.

I can't tell if this is a bug or not. Core Audio is not working. In System preferences, sound section mute is checked and grayed out. I tried reseting the PRAM and sudo mv /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/InstantOn.driver /tmp. Nothing worked so far. Any Ideas?

Edit: I fixed it I opened Audio MDI Setup. On Built-in Output, right click Master then click "Use this device for sound".

I'm using the latest nightly build of VLC and audio passthrough using HDMI to my AV receiver is working fine, both for normal 2 channel stereo (PCM), as well as Dolby Digital 5.1 and Dolby True Surround.

That being said, I didn't do an upgrade from Mavericks - I created a new partition and installed 10.10 DP1 onto it.

Also, regarding what someone stated earlier, about VLC controls disappearing, I'm not having that issue either, with the latest nightly build...For me, VLC is working without issue.

Is anyone else having problem with the Bluetooth? My Magic Mouse and Apple Keyboard seems to just randomly stop working (no connection lost or anything).
Turning Bluetooth off/on seem to work but the problem comes back again soon after.

Been using magic mouse since Yosemite installation. No problems so far. Maybe a clean install would help. Actually been using Yosemite as an update from mavericks, no clean install, and I haven't been experiencing any problems most people without clean installs were having.

can't sign into my iCloud account in Mail, anybody else see this?

Nope. No issues for me with either iCloud, GMail or even 3rd party email addresses and servers...The only mail-related issue I've come across is that when trying to sync an IMAP inbox with more than 1000 emails in it, the mail app actually hangs, as in, goes in to the 'Not Responding' status, when using CMD-CTRL-ESC.

Weird. I can sign in with my Exchange account, just not my iCloud one. I can log into iCloud.com fine.

Everything to do with 10.10 is a bug!!! Especially all those cheesy icons. I'm sure if Steve Jobs were alive he would have never allowed this - Tim Cook is putting apple down the toilet!

Yesterday I decided logout from iCloud because of some problems. It would allow me to login back in but Mail and Notes would not install. It said I needed to try again later. I think after about 1-2 hours I was able to active them. Not sure why.

...how many times...how many people can't read...

You will get an email. At some point in time, in the next few months, you will get an email allowing you to download 10.10. At this point in time, the public beta is not live and only developers have the ability to download 10.10.

This was made pretty obvious on the page you used to sign up to the beta.

Apparently, common sense and reading did not prevail on this one.

sudo mv /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/InstantOn.driver /tmp No such file or directory

When I try to run this on terminal

Code:
sudo mv /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/HAL/InstantOn.driver /tmp

It drops a message

Code:
No such file or directory

WHAT DO I DO? NO SOUND ON THE MAC?

UPDATE 19:24 (Mexico Time): After trying all of the posibilities to recover the audio: Deleting BezelDontKnowWhat restarting PRAM SMC that terminal code I just tested out the coreaudio driver with activity monitor and suddenly, like magic, it sounds again. Let's see how much time the audio will work :)

!!IMPORTANT BUG NOTE!!

I was looking at energy saving settings and when I unchecked the "Automatic Graphics Switching" button, large portions of my monitor turned bright red. In order to make the red go away, I had to restart using Control+Command+Power Button. When I logged back in, everything was normal. But boy was that a terrifying moment! So just an extremely important heads up on that one.

Also, has anyone else been able to create their own network? I don't see the option for it in the menu bar anymore.

Don't know if a bug or intentional, but missing the "Computer Sleep in xxxxx minutes" under the Energy Saver section of Sys. Prefs

Duplicatable? That might be a bug with Yosemite, but I would search around and make sure the model of mac you bought is not prone to graphics card failures. Just to be safe.

Or maybe I'm just paranoid about other peoples computers... I don't even have access to the beta (not a developer, lol). *Tinfoil hat ON*

Can anyone see if they can replicate this? It's one of the more quirky Yosemite bugs...

Go into Notes and create a new note. Type something then put a double-dash (--) and a space, and then try typing again. Mine all comes out backwards!

I'm a rolling stone.
Bugs:confused:

Mayor bug here, installed Yosemity, works reasonable, but after a restart it hangs in the boot process.
(Reinstalled-same)
Verbose mode on shows me it hangs just after : pci waiting for SDXC, but removed the extension, no difference, safe boot, no difference.
Think my permissions are messed up, as others in other threads said, can't repair permissions from another partition, actually, not even in Yosemity, those buttons are greyed out.
Logs shows only a reboot from last time, nothing more, I cleared the cashes on my first time, as well as the logs, none of them are recreated so I am pretty sure the System can't write to the disk.(messed up permissions)

Reset your SMC and PRAM, I had interference issues with BT and this sorted it.

STOP IT FFS. I'm sick to death of all these "Steve would've" or "Steve wouldn't have" comments. He's the only person who would know, and he's not able to tell us.

Also, lets see. Handoff is a bug? Continuity is a bug? 4000 new APIs a bug? I don't think so. You and some others may not like the new look (I remember similar comments with the introduction of Aqua BTW) but many people do or don't care as long as the bloody thing works.
