STOP IT FFS. I'm sick to death of all these "Steve would've" or "Steve wouldn't have" comments. He's the only person who would know, and he's not able to tell us.

Also, lets see. Handoff is a bug? Continuity is a bug? 4000 new APIs a bug? I don't think so. You and some others may not like the new look (I remember similar comments with the introduction of Aqua BTW) but many people do or don't care as long as the bloody thing works.

Pretty sure he was being sarcastic ;)

When I open the Mac app store, the icon shows the opening animation for a few seconds and closes. No window ever appears on the screen. Upgraded from mavericks. Anyone else experiencing this?

Nevermind, I had the app store in a folder on the dock, and for some reason the app store in the folder was still the old app store, had to replace it with app store from applications folder. App store is actually faster and more responsive than before for me.

Calendar Window

The main Calendar window does not seem to remember its position. When I move the calendar window to the top of the screen and resize it, when I quit then restart it I get a window about 4 inches tall by 8 inches wide. Is anyone else seeing this?

Can anyone get a SuperDrive to run?

My Superdrive connected to a Mid 2011 Mac Mini seems to be working fine.

Yes, I was being sarcastic (thus these  ). Not like you can tell the difference with some people though :D I have enough friends that rant about how *horrible* iOS7 was, and I've honestly given up caring. They can live on iOS5 builds if they want to.
I actually do in fact like the look of Yosemite, it's about time that OS X got a major overhaul. Should've really happened with Mavericks, as they were switching naming schemes, but this really isn't the thread for that.

Carry on!

I'm not sure if its just me.

Sometimes when I have a PDF file open in Preview, and I do something else so the Preview app loses focus, then I click back into it, it will crash and reopen very quickly.

Once I had a bunch of images open with Preview app and attempted to zoom-in to fit, it froze my Mac.

Happens to me as well, it gets annoying if you're constantly using it and it constantly crashes. Sometimes the document doesn't re-open when the app re-opens, and the only way to open it is to quit Preview and open the file again.

Just appeared in Activity Monitor, and not sure what it is.
A Process called 'powerd', and is taking 3.14GB of memory.
Does anybody else have this or have any idea as to what it is?

Similar Memory problem as before, but different.

I got a dialogue box come up, saying your system has run out of application memory. even though only 5 safari tabs, Spotify and activity monitor is open.
In Activity Monitor it says that kernel_task is using 4.72GB of Real Memory, which I believe is the OS.
So why would it tell me I have run out of memory and need to quit applications when the OS is using all the Memory, that could be utilised if it needed to be.
And also, how is 5 safari tabs, Spotify and activity monitor using 3+GB of Memory?

i had also the spotlight bug, and found this thread but this doesn't help.

So i tried different things: new user -> no problem.

but thats no solution

BUT: since i opened dictionary and disabled all dictionaries (Preferences of Dict.) my spotlight is working fine.

i hope that helps u.

(sorry for my bad english)

EDIT: hmm, now i am working with it and it is crashing sometime, too, but not every time when i type 1 letter.

greetings from germany

This works for me too. Open dictionary and disable all make spotlight works again.

If you are not using full screen mode then it will feel more laggy due to not so well implemented (so far) transparency/blur effect on Safari top bar. But if you test them in full screen modes the performance should be pretty much on pair.

Airplay Missing

I use airplay all the time, in fact I used it just before updating to Yosemite. Any ideas on where it went or how to fix it?

WiFi Disconnecting

I've got a mid 2012 MBPR and I did the upgrade to 10.10 now my wifi is disconnecting. I can connect fine, the dropbox Icon shows a green check mark but as soon as I try to load a website in safari or firefox it disconnects from the network...

Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know of a fix? Ive tried a few things but I'm stuck. I'm leaving clean install as a last resort...

As others have reported about the system being sluggish, I can confirm this on mine as-well...

also is I go in to settings/network/advanced and click on the different tabs the background of the settings window holds the view from the previous tab...
