OK, I scored 0 as most others did when I completed the test, and I know from looking back at some of my photos that I haven't always shown good taste in colour.

I've just been back to the test again, but without actually moving any squares or clicking on anything, so not completing the test, and my score was 88.
Surely that's far too low a score?

Cheers :)

A rather cute little place; the location of which was shared with me by a land owner whose place I had just been at photographing some ruins there. Apparently an architect mate of theirs is looking for such a small place to dismantle and reassemble in their backyard as their home office! A huge undertaking, but for a place in ruin already it could give it new life! It would make an interesting episode for the Aussie version of Grand Designs.

I was hoping to be able to capture the windmill to the left of this place within this frame as a contrast to the windfarm behind it, but there were huge black polytanks between the windmill and the building. Some of which are creating the shadows across the foreground.

Saw several in the shade and carefully positioned myself behind a tree as I waited for them to walk out of the coolness of the shadows for the sun to light up details and color. After all that, tomorrows photo will be one that to my surprise snuck up behind me to investigate me and 6' away.

For such a cheap lens, great output :)
Have you tried any of the other body cap lenses?

Cheers :)

No, I haven’t. I wasn’t sure there are any others for m43. I just like how simple the 9mm is, and it still seems pretty sharp for what it is, so long as you have the slider on the right focal length, that is. I made that mistake when I got it, wondering why my backgrounds were blurry—I was on the close setting and not infinity!

There's a 15mm but it doesn't have the same appeal to me - https://www.getolympus.com/us/en/body-cap-lens-15mm-silver.html

It would seem that they may not offer this lens anymore. I haven’t run across it when browsing for primes. The only 15mm I come across is the 15mm Summilux—a great looking lens at a relatively steep price. I’m not sure I’d want a 15mm at F8 though. The joy of most M43 primes is that aperture around 1.7-1.8, great for indoor work.

what is it?

Thankfully my back seems to have resolved itself now so maybe I could get a larger, heavier lens......no no no.....stop it Hugh! I've just spent over £2k on camera gear I can't go spending any more.

Get a good sturdy tripod and a gimbal head for the long lens you choose and that'll take care of the situation nicely! No pain for the back, even when raising the lens up in the direction of the moon.....

Hail, hail, the gang's all here! Or most of them, anyway. There are more that I've seen, too. My generosity in providing food to the birdies [and the squirrels] is definitely appreciated, and obviously word is spreading.....

Not a technically-perfect shot by any stretch of the imagination as the reflections from the closed sliding glass door are bouncing back into the image, which was shot on the iPhone I had in my hand for other reasons, and probably I could've done a better job in post-processing, but I thought it's still kind of cool anyway, documenting an interesting moment in time.....
