Thats it. Or the giant asteroid worm from The Empire Strikes Back.
Speaking of the Empire Strikes Back...!
Finally, someone's posted a photo of a red tailed hawk!

i wish i had been into photography when the olympics came to vancouver back in 2010 as well. when i found out the cauldron was going to be lit every time we won a gold medal, i made sure to go out and photograph it.
here's another photo showing the cauldron with the downtown buildings in the background.

Interesting technique. I don't believe you can do that in LR.
I thought you had converted an old DSLR to infrared! Very cool result of the inversion.

can't comment on that second part. I only tried it once and never opened LR again.
making it black & white first rendered the interesting monochromatic feel
I would love to try an infrared setup though
True, but you have made the most of what you had. Was this an HDR image? Looking at the clouds, I can't quite decide.
Thanks, and yes there is some HDR in there...dont alert Doylem!!![]()

G'day mate!
I'd send that one to Alexander.of Oz!
Not my image, but it's the most trustworthy one of him I could find on the interweb[/SIZE]
Beautiful sunny day today, which I spent blasting round the Dales on my Triumph. So much fun I forgot to stop and get the camera out, so here's one from last week in Brighton.
What Triumph have you got mate? I used to have a Scrambler and then a Street Triple. Great bikes!
Tiger 800 (just the standard, not the XC).
Going for comfort rather than full-on maniac nowadays (showing my age there). The Tiger is all-day comfortable and surprisingly deft in the corners for such a lanky lump. And it's got torque everywhere.
I had the Daytona T595 when it first came out, which was essentially a Speed Triple with a sports fairing. Awesome machine until I somersaulted it in France.
I'm doing more long distance nowadays as my brother lives in Brighton, so comfort (and luggage capacity) is a big factor. I'd probably have been tempted by a Thruxton otherwise. Or maybe the Scrambler - that retro exhaust is beautiful!
Sunday was indeed quite sunny.
Great shot!
Another awesome shot! (Damn, I should be downtown like you)
I was here yesterday... North Shore...
I was out in the woods hunting and a friend saw a baby moose alone and went near to kill it with his knife, but the godamn animal hit him hard.
