Wherever I hang my hat...

Great shot... made better by shooting from 'dog level' (though the over-bright left-hand side is a bit distracting)...

wow thanks everybody! It seemed simple the way I did it... Photoshop Elements 4. these are the originals:

I used a selection brush to encircle the surfer in each of the second two shots, cut them out and placed them into the first photo of the series. The horizon made alignment pretty easy, but I did have to add a couple hundred pixels to the height of the original canvas size, and again used a brush to choose and match the sky's blue color throughout the entire area above the original image in frame one using the airbrush tool. Might have done a little clone work to get it looking realistic with the water droplets... but I didn't spend nearly the time on it as I would if I had wanted it perfect. It's my first try actually, although I once put my super hero poodle Sunny in outerspace before!:p

Thanks. I agree some-- but I rarely catch him lying like this and sprung on the opportunity. Unfortunately the sun was shining in from the front of the house and a little on his face. I tricked myself into thinking that it added a "he's looking into the light" angle. Perhaps I'll get this one again later ;)

So here goes...

I experimented a lot over the last while with different techniques, and i still was unable to get a sharpish image. Then i read somewhere that the IR rays diffuse more when traveling through the many elements of a zoom lense... so i got myself an old manual nikon series E 28mm f2.8 lense to test this theory out - and sure enough i'm now able to get much better results.
Not that this is anything special...but the sun came out for a few mins this morning and hit this tree...
