I would like to perfect this and shoot it again, but you get the idea :)

Carlos, great photos of late out of you...

Thanks Val, I just got my Pentax K10D. Ive been experimenting with a point and shoot kodak for quite a few months and decided to take the plunge and buy an SLR. Im totally digging it. These pictures are mostly from my trip to Morro Bay, luckily I got my camera in the mail 15 hours before I left.

Afternoon at Wat Chom Phet

Afternoon at Wat Chom Phet

Nikon D40x + Nikkor-H 28mm + 72R Infrared filter

I spent a memorable afternoon soaking up the atmosphere of this abandoned, hill top wat (ie. temple). A great place to just sit and think (and take pictures).

"The Commercial Cleaner"

Great cartoon book like photo. I wonder, is this the same vacuum cleaner
as in your previous photos? Do you carry this thing around?

Would be a nice theme for a photo series. I know it has been done many times
with other objects (penguins anyone?), but I've never seen it in this context (urban shoots, HDR)

Thanks. That vacuum was indeed in another one of the photos in this thread, but they were both taken within seconds of each other.

What's funny is it was a week and a half ago, and I could probably go back there and find the vacuum still sitting there. Desolated urban environments are amazing.

Picked up a Lensbaby 3G today. It's a nice little fun lens for when you want something different. :) A little hard to use though. Especially for the type of photography I do.

Just one of the better shots that came out today.

I'm still learning but I liked that pic because she actually posed for about 5 seconds while I took the shot.

Is that a mole above its eye? Anyways, nice pic!

Hehe, no, its not a mole, she was rolling around in the mud.

My second shot with my new D40 of my little brother 'Domster'. I know my pics aren't really up to par, but I'm just so excited to have my camera now. :)
