slightly breaking the rules here, but since I’ve been asked about my macro setup, here is a pullback. I don’t usually shoot on a tripod but my 65 pound dog has pulled my elbow out of whack so I’ve been using it more the past couple weeks till my arm gets back to normal. This is the Lensbaby Velvet 56 at f/2.8 and stacked 11 + 18mm extension tubes. Plus an LB Omni color prism.

You have been reported. Please stay where you are and a mod will be by shortly to collect you. ?

I guess I forgot to mention that I don't shoot every single day (though I'm not far from that), but rarely are contributions older than a few days.

I would say you, Molly and Clix-Pix are my favorite photographers in here (Hughmac, anotherscotsman and darmok as well), my question would be for you, do you find various animals/ plants every day to take photos of? Or is this like from a backlog that you have? The only reason I ask, is you have such an extensive history of posting wildlife on here, it amazes me that you’re able to find such unique photos on your daily adventures that you photoed probably hundreds of animals/plants.
Many thanks for your appreciation but there are certainly more talented photographers than me that contribute. I try to make a point of shooting something when I can - makes a change from work and makes me feel 'artistic' (I'm a scientist by trade).

Moon shots seem to be popular so here's another one from about 1-hour ago. Literally waiting for gaps in the cloud to get something. Turned the exposure down to let you see the natural colours of the moon - most moon shots appear uniformly grey but there are significant differences in the various geologies. Not CGI, I promise. 480mm, f/6, 1/200s iso100 on EOS M3 (APS-C) if that matters to anyone.

She's lovely, and reminds me of Sam, our lab cross dalmatian, who was such a character and lived every single day to the full. We still miss him - here he is at 16½ just before he passed...

Cheers :)

16-1/2 years is quite a long life. By the look in his eyes, he was a sweet and gentle..."family member."

My wife always says that our pet is not a dog, but a person) :)

All our dogs are family members, but this one was a complete rough and tough energetic git who thought he was in charge. He needed plenty of games and exercise or he would play us up. It was a constant battle to keep him amused and under control, but we loved him to bits and he did love us.

After he had gone we got ourselves a young girl lurcher (greyhound cross) from the rescue kennels and it was actually quite a shock to find her so quiet and demure, well behaved and needing much more snoozing around.
A year later we rescued Finn, a terrier type, as a companion for Milly, and we found ourselves with 'half a Sam', not so difficult but similar character to him.

Cheers :)

Hugh
