slightly breaking the rules here, but since I’ve been asked about my macro setup, here is a pullback. I don’t usually shoot on a tripod but my 65 pound dog has pulled my elbow out of whack so I’ve been using it more the past couple weeks till my arm gets back to normal. This is the Lensbaby Velvet 56 at f/2.8 and stacked 11 + 18mm extension tubes. Plus an LB Omni color prism.

I think we arrived on the perfect day.Love all the reds and golds
Many thanks for your appreciation but there are certainly more talented photographers than me that contribute. I try to make a point of shooting something when I can - makes a change from work and makes me feel 'artistic' (I'm a scientist by trade).I would say you, Molly and Clix-Pix are my favorite photographers in here (Hughmac, anotherscotsman and darmok as well), my question would be for you, do you find various animals/ plants every day to take photos of? Or is this like from a backlog that you have? The only reason I ask, is you have such an extensive history of posting wildlife on here, it amazes me that you’re able to find such unique photos on your daily adventures that you photoed probably hundreds of animals/plants.
That’s a beauty!
She's lovely, and reminds me of Sam, our lab cross dalmatian, who was such a character and lived every single day to the full. We still miss him - here he is at 16½ just before he passed...Her name is Nikki, a Lab/husky mix. Practice shot with a new Canon R6, plus an "adapted" Canon EF 135mm f/2L
16-1/2 years is quite a long life. By the look in his eyes, he was a sweet and gentle..."family member."
All our dogs are family members, but this one was a complete rough and tough energetic git who thought he was in charge. He needed plenty of games and exercise or he would play us up. It was a constant battle to keep him amused and under control, but we loved him to bits and he did love us.16-1/2 years is quite a long life. My wife always says that our pet is not a dog, but a person)
First of many I’m guessing.
