My latest photos :D
Sorry but I MUST post 4 ;)
First wildlife photos :)
Flickr feed here

All taken with a small sony point and shoot camera in macro mode whilst going on a walk with the family

I tried to simulate a sort of HDRI effect. They look purposely over edited and saturated but i think its effective in this example.
Felt the background colour of the peacock photo was very distracting and looked a lot more interesting and effective with it partly black and white.

Defocus lenses? Pantyhose over the front of the lens for portraits? Gaussian blur filters? Someone would intentionally blur their images because women are finicky about how their skin looks in a photograph, and if they're over about 18, it almost always needs a bit of blur. :p

No, blur is blur. I'm well aware of the differences between intentional blur (which is an excuse) and intentional softness.

Yes... colour. And, BTW, "pissed" (from your sig) means "drunk" in English... ;)

I guess it ALSO means "drunk" in English. Just depends on what side of the pond you're on. Always interesting to find alternate meanings to words.:) Let's get back to the photos:D

...Then I must point out that you've done something horrible in pp to make the landscape so psychadelic. The green kinda burns into my retinas...

Ha, ya it probably does look over saturated but I just wanted to experiment, never done a landscape photo before or any wildlife stuff either :p
BTW This might be a good time to mention I'm colour blind :D
P.S. I edited my post with photos - taken with a small point-and-shoot camera over 3 years old :)

Great shot, looks like you've got portraiture down pretty well. :)

Thank you very much! I did a free shoot with two friends the other day. My previous post was a picture of the other girl. I'll probably post some from the same shoot for the next few days. I think they came out well! I finally decided to start charging for shoots (not much), and after the exposure from Tuesdays shoot, I already have 6 appointments!
