Ok, so i been staring at this picture for about a half hour now trying to decide if i should post it here, or even up it to my flickr. I'm drawn to the abstractness, but i feel like something is wrong with it... What do some of you think?

I don't think there's anything wrong with it per-se. It's a good background image- but I don't think it's got enough zing to put it on a wall- but I could be wrong about that. I like the contrast and the colors.

My friend Mark, moments before he set out on an epic bike ride called the LEL (London Edinburgh London - 875 miles in 4.5 days). Check out his blog and progress (all done with an iPhone) here.

I absolutely love these ND gradient pictures. Your making me want to pick one up.

They definitely make the job of capturing your sky much easier. The relative cost is pretty small once you buy the holder. Holder was about $17 and a ND grad is about $30

This looks more natural to me: good definition in the clouds without under-exposing the foreground.
Thanks. Every once in a while I stumble upon a good exposure.

Nice, dreamy quality again. The 2 shots remind me of the house you posted on the side of the hill a short while back.

I am loving your landscapes. Nice views, great exposure and good choice of lighting. I think you have posted 4 or 5 in a row of the type of shot I aspire to. I checked out a few more on your flickr page and recognized many of the images from previous posts.

Thank you very much! I'm just now getting into landscapes. It takes a bit of effort to scout out interesting locations and wait for the right conditions, but it's rewarding!

I went bug-hunting today, after quite a while without visiting the botanical garden. After 5 hours there, I got 5 shots that I liked and considered "keepers". This one was by far the one I liked the most!

This is a female wasp chewing a caterpillar to feed its own larvae.

Oregon coast
back with more point 'n shoot...foxglove

Went up into the back country near my home in the Oregon coast range today with a couple of my dogs. I took my D50, but for some reason just left it in the car as I explored, and only took the little Lumix LZ8. This was in a recently thinned timber harvest unit where the sun-loving foxgloves just thrive. Shot in 16:9 aspect ratio, P-mode.
