Distorted perspective control. Excellent example of showing the difficulty of shooting with an ultra-wide angle lens and its impact on composition. Not a easy as going from a normal lens to a tele - just slap it on. With a UWA it is a whole new learning experience.

Lines not perfect. Edited on an 8-inch tablet - fine tuning difficult. S

The bokeh looks nice. The entire fungus structure in focus would have been interesting. S

Well the fungus isn't going anywhere I'll be sure to get a better shot of it later. I would consider this a test shot, I set my lens to f/1.8 and walked about the village to find different lighting conditions. I need some human subjects to really get used to it as it is the focal length I shoot weddings at.

But at least the effort was made. Not correcting verticals (either in-camera when composing or in post) and posting a walkway with the sides falling in is as bad as a landscape with a slanted horizon (that is obviously level in nature). Where you really see UWA lens errors is in real estate photography - making a perfectly sound house look structurally unstable with slanted walls, doors and cabinets.

You must have some reputation if even the alligators want to keep a safe distance from you. :D

Not sure of the exact focal length, but it’s with a 55-200mm lens. Probably at 200mm.
Fuji XT3 has an APSC crop sensor.
I’d recommend a fish eye for alligator shots! :)

You know, as solid as my G9 feels, I wouldn’t be afraid to bludgeon an attacking creature with it. Or do I try to take pictures of this special moment instead?
That’s why you carry a tripod or monopod!

What is left of an abandoned go-kart driving track that used to be a huge hit with many people here back in the late 80's and early 90's.

For a second I thought you have found the Maze of the Minotaur. Great shot!
