This was a tough capture... it was fairly high up (well above my head) and this was the only angle that worked, which is unfortunate due to the corner full of sky. It was also very difficult to get my T1i to focus on the spider, it kept wanting to focus on the background foliage. Anyway, here it is.

I darkened the background foliage with the new curves tool in Aperture 3 and I'm pleased with the added contrast this provided of the web. I tried a vignette but that didn't really help the top right and actually took away from the bottom right. I also considered cropping but feel the leaves in the bottom right are key to the photo (and to the spider's web).
Any suggestions or tips are certainly welcome.
