One from the garden today. This fledgeling has been being fed by his dad for a while. However whenever I had my camera to hand they would stop.

I should also mention I've gone back to using DXO as it now exports to Lightroom much better. I edited this in both but the noise reduction from DXO was so much better.

Off on a work trip tomorrow and it will either be over in a flash or an opportunity to get some really good shots.

Only time will tell!

Got plenty and plenty of rolls really to shoot for the summer so I am getting pretty excited now!

here's also a before and after retouching sample and of the composited one

Photo of the Day May 2014

Crazy hailstorm outside a few days ago which I took a quick snapshot of whilst my hallway filled up with it.

Haven't had a chance to shoot anything recently (apart from for the monthly contest.....come on people, get over there and shoot something for it. You've only got two days left!) as I've been so busy. Hope to rectify that over the coming days.

I've been playing around with the idea of minimalism as of late.

Nice eagle. I only get sparrows round here! I'd personally like to see a slightly tighter crop. Also your sensor/lens looks like it could do with a clean. You have an oil spot to the left and something far right (unless they are flies).

Thanks! Yup, they are flies. It was taken at a wildlife preserve, on a dirt road that travels about 4 miles out into the marshes. The flies/mosquitoes/greenheads get so bad that you can only keep your window down for about 10 seconds before you get swarmed!
