Haven't contributed anything here for ages as been too busy.

Nikon Z50. Z DX 50-250mm lens at 220mm. Really love this lens even though it's cheap as chips.

My living room window after it chucked it down, plus a bit of vignette to turn it into a desktop wallpaper.

Might I get a full size of that pls? 😁

That might be true with some photographers that shoot digital. Those who take their photography seriously don't.

Most others, such as myself, effortlessly import their day's shooting of digital pix into Lightroom or some other digital catalog structure. Where it remains, with multiple backups in multiple physical locations, for many years. Just like rolls of film. Except much easier to access with EXIF and attached digital keyword notes - all easily searchable within a second or two.

I had a friend lose his entire life's film library during Hurricane Katrina. Something to think about.
I believe that my comment was for amateur and everyday people. Serious photographers know better.

Got my degree in Photographic Science at Rochester Institute of Technology back in 1965, and I still have most of my negatives and transparencies from the years.

120 Ektachrome shot on my Hasselblad-scan doesn't do it justice.

This had been a trip I planned for over a year. I live in east central NM and drove to Durango and spent the night. Next morning, early, I headed to Silverton, then Ouray, Ridgeway, and Telluride. The only problem I had is, every time I drove another 1/2 mile, I saw a view I had to take a picture of. I was stopping a LOT! Also did a bit of hiking.

I'll post additional images from the trip in the coming days in this thread.

Tell me about it! We made a similar drive from Phoenix. Went to Monument Valley, Moab/Arches NP, then on to Ridgeway-Ouray-Silverton-Cortez then back home though Four Corners. Gorgeous scenic views, and it took twice as long as it should have through SW Colorado because someone kept stopping to take photos.

Did you manage to get over to Goblin Valley State Park in Utah? That's a real other-world place.

If you ever get to that area (Moab) again, I highly recommend taking a bit of a side trip a couple hours west and visiting Goblin Valley State park.

There is so much to see in southern Utah... we were at Zion back in July... and the Monument Valley/Arches/Colorado trip was last week... would love to explore Goblin Valley and Bryce Canyon...

Haven’t made it to Zion, but visited Bryce Canyon 40 years ago. What a beautiful place!

EDIT: I was sure I had a nice photo from that trip, and I do! But I know with my heart and brain and liver and most of the organs that it was my dad’s pic, and not my own).
