The village pond at Nun Monkton, near York...

Experimenting with new filters for this one. The composition wasn't the best, but I like the clear waters. Just have to find a better location next time.

May I ask, which filters in this one?

I like the dreamy reflection here :)

Was that with a polariser filter? I want to try that. I took a load of pictures couple weekends ago at a Porsche owners meeting type event but the reflections in the paintwork were a nightmare! Legs and shorts ruining them :-(

Our local farmer reckons they aren't the sharpest tool in the box. So likely the coo istrying to work out why his face gets wet when he tries to eat the grass. :)

Photo of the day September 2014

Work took me to East Croydon today (all of the exotic locations with my job). I was there filming some staff and taking some photos of customers, which I can't share here. Only managed a couple of shots on the way to my train due to time constraints so here's one with my Voigtlander 15mm, zone focused at F8. Hate the picture, love the wideness. I should have been a few feet to the left....and not walking.

Thanks. Like an idiot I took a few shots with both of my new filters, now I can't remember which shot this was with. I think it was this one, http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FZ837Z2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ND 32 Filter by Hoya

Or it might have been this one!http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000KKVFD6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Circular Polarising filter.

As I said above, I don't think so. It was a 2.5 second exposure, so pretty sure it was the ND.

Thanks for the compliments on the lifeguard silhouette. I agree about cropping the bottom black area. I may play with that again tonight.

For today, more "Under the pier".

Under the Pier - HB (Vertical) by Puckman2012, on Flickr

Very interesting photo. I like the dual dynamics of movement going on here with the rafters of the pier seeming to move the eye out while the waves bring the eye in. I like it a lot.

With the washing as well (no naughty bits though, they're round the other side)

Cheers :)

Crappy eh? I wish I took "crappy" photos like this:rolleyes:. I also wish I could find myself in maybe Montana or Wyoming..some day. Beautiful shot. Can't wait to see more. Cheers

I really like that one! Well done!

Thanks! I'm particularly proud of this one. As with most good shots (at least for me), there was a bit of unplanned luck involved. But for the most part, it came out the way I wanted.

Point Fermin Lighthouse in San Pedro, CA

I'd like to go back and shoot this under better lighting and with more time on my hands.
