Jammer vehicle in Glacier Park

A misty, foggy, rainy day made a trip to Glacier Park memorable earlier this week. The Jammers can run on propane or gasoline (I was told) and although they are vintage vehicles Ford rehabilitated each at a cost of about $130,000.

Glacier Park

Saw a golden eagle in this area but he didn't stick around for a photo.

those shots really work and I can't explain why in the usual terms of rule of thirds or any other practical terms why they should. Enjoyable!

I like the second one very much. I like the angle and the color of the sun on the building.

Good job :)

That is awesome... I would love to see the full size!

It was originally in color, actually :) Also, you can see a bird flying up next to one of the rays.

If you guys go to my site I've been adding pictures from my Europe trip.

Here is a teaser :)

.. .. some feedback would be GREAT ...

The power lines and tower in the background bother me a little bit, and the picture isn't level either, it seems. I like the composition though. I like the contrasty B&W, and the loss of detail in the windows, etc. (also the face) on the right makes it interesting (to me.) Is this one in a series? It might be cool to have a close-up of the model looking off into the distance or something.

Great start- keep it up!

looks level too me; the drain pipe does seems a bit lame though. ;) ... and i like those horizontal wires; the trees and power tower bother me more. :)

thevessels- it'd be nice to see a little more definition in the models back leg. the organic element gets sucked into the black space. nice photo; have fun with that rebel. :)

Perfect except for the powerline tower. Clone that out and you have a wall hanger! :D

Personally I think the Powerlines and tower are an essential piece of this composure that help give it certain feeling of real world. Also I think it helps balance the photo since your subject is so close to the left hand side of the photo. What does bother be is the white pole crossing the whole photo and to a lesser extent the black bars from the railing to the ceiling. The railing itself is fine but the support bars that run from it to the ceiling seem to be a detractant to me.

hey thanks alot guys for the feedback . yeah all i really did was a quick contract/exposure treatment in iphoto , and now a liiiittle straightening ,
but yea , that big white pole , and white drain pipe are quite ugly ..
but the picture was super spontanious , so for me it was a pretty surprising result .

here it is a little straighter , no power tower thing , but i left in the wires .. i know they dont make much sense , but ;. aah maybe im just lazy .... i do think it looks better without the tower
24282464_7b000d2994_b.jpg

but seriously thanks for the input guys !

Yay, now that I can actually see it, I think it would rock if you cropped it wide, just above the models head. But that's just my opinion. You can test it by scrolling it in your browser...

i was seeing a slightly lower still crop

Thanks Mike. :)

i tried it cropped a bit lower, but it felt a bit cramped and with all the grid so gratuitously pointed out it started to look a bit warped. ;)

i pulled the front of the models shirt a bit tighter and lit up his arm, foot and butt pocket, and gave the hair some sheen (matted).

i like this photo thevessels! :D

I love the beach

Here's a couple sunrise pictures I took a few weeks ago. There's also a nice shot of a breaking wave I took while I was kayaking.

Hellohello

I went on a missions trip deep into the Amazon Rainforest in Northern Brasil near the equator and here are some shots - please give me some feedback! :)

*All shots are directly from the camera*

This is the seminary where we stayed - right smack in the middle of a jungle - feels like you're in a movie.

This is where we rode a boat up the Rio Negro (Black River) into a remote village.

Just for kicks, this is when I got to eat monkey stew @ the village - if you look closely, thats a cute monkey head in there.

And my favorite shot during the whole trip.

I'm in love with Brasil.
