Taken during a film shoot that I'm the key grip for. Figured I don't have many chances to work with a green screen. Not sure how well I can eliminate it because there are wrinkles, but I'll mess with that later.

Vivitar 35mm film camera, all manual. ISO 200 film. 135mm lense. shot end of March, 2007.

Nice pic, although it's a pity the depth of field doesn't quite get the nearest posts sharp.

Yeah I really wasn't exactly sure how to control the DOF while I was shooting this. I've shot a lot of shots like this where I focus in on the closest object and have the background fading away but i wanted to try something different and focus in on something in the middle and have both the foreground and background a bit OOF.

When I get the chance to go back I'll try to experiment with different levels of DOF. :)

Cherry Blossom time!

Today is the last day of the peak Cherry Blossoms for this year. It's supposed to rain tonight, so they'll be gone by tomorrow. I went in early, like 7:30 or so, and the weather was perfect, and the lighting was really cool.

I know they say one per day, but there's a story to tell!

Like I said, the weather was perfect, and everybody was there, photographers were thick as fleas on a dog's back - blink twice and you'd have tripped over three!

Again, everybody was there, even the President flew over...twice!

Ok, here's what all the hoopla was about - Cherry Blossoms! The Tidal Basin was very calm this morning and the reflections were great! (At least until the tourists got to those stupid boats!)

Ok, last one, I promise...

Like I said, the light was fantastic, the weather was perfect, and the trees did what all trees do - stand still and pose beautifully! Even the Washington Monument stood still for a shot...

Great pics. This is my favorite, although I think it would be nicer if that branch in the upper left hand corner wasn't there, leaving just blue sky. Either way, great job!
