Great pics. This is my favorite, although I think it would be nicer if that branch in the upper left hand corner wasn't there, leaving just blue sky. Either way, great job!

Thanks, I've been promising myself for years that I'd go one day, and yesterday I just told the boss I'd see him Wednesday.

I tried a whole raft of new things, some worked some didn't. Took over 320 photos! Had a blast doing it, too. One guy was there at 5:00 am, and took the most fantastic photo of the Jefferson memorial with the full moon setting over it! Maybe next year, I'll go earlier...

Cast members drink cokes. Dressed in medieval clothes, with a house and car in the background, they drink modern cola. An anachronism if you ask me. So, I snapped a shot! This is from the same movie shoot as before. Different date, same movie.

I hung my arm out my window while driving and snapped this with my phone so it's not the best.. A house "exploded" quite a sight.

Ok, here's what all the hoopla was about - Cherry Blossoms! The Tidal Basin was very calm this morning and the reflections were great! (At least until the tourists got to those stupid boats!)

I like this one! Sunset pics are always fun. I do want to go to Scotland someday, Family is connected to the MacEwens back a ways. I see shots like this and it makes me want to go.

Thanks, Rahrens.
Yeah sunset pics are one of the few things my camera can handle, planning on getting a DSLR in the next couple of months. Still undecided between the Digital Rebel Xti, The D80 or the Pentax K10d though. Scotland is lovely if you come in the summer, its lovely in the winter too of course just very cold and wet.
My wife and I are planning to go back to Atlanta & Washington, hopefully next spring , if not it will be spring 2009.

I PMed you in reply, but as I noted there, do look at the D80. I already have the D70, so would be overkill, but I've been drooling over that one for a while.

DSLRs are fun, I've had a blast with mine - they do give you a good excuse to go places, don't they? Plus pics of the grkids, etc., too!

Very cool shot. Personally I'm a big fan of close up detail/perspective shots.

This is a river about 1/2 mile from my house. I used to fish off of the bank on the right as a kid with my grandfather.
