Taken in York (England) this weekend , the street was very busy and I had to crop this one to get rid of some of the people. I reckon he's saying "Don't post this on the internet "

Some amazing pictures have been posted the last couple of days again... especially the latest form Freebooter, Baby Duck Monge, Silverbird0000, Pdxflint and Epicwelshman

Thanks to everyone for their recent comments, as always I really appreciate them!

Steamie, great candid shot... love the colours and the expression.

Kirdbog, stunning shot!

Anyway, I saw this hot chick today, thought I'd share her with all of you here!

Shot this yesterday morning, as shot from the camera.
Nikon D2h, 12-24mm
Sweet shot. Very well composed.

Saw this little guy on the beach today, he was so small, but posed for many pictures before running away!
I like it, looks cute.
Title: Gladiators

Great! Didn't I see this one before, though? Was it posted on another thread? Or maybe someone else posted a very similar shot...

Thanks! I was hesitant to put up an insect macro in freebooter's world, but I couldn't hold out forever.

And an additional thanks to you. It was definitely not posted by me in another thread. I had just finished editing it the day I posted it (there were some stone post things blocking half the arch, the bottom right of the portrait, and about 1/3 of the wall to the right of the portrait - spent about an hour in Photoshop making it look how it looks now). Someone else having taken a similar picture is a distinct possibility, though, as the soldier was stationed in that spot, not posed.

On a somewhat related note, if anyone is awesome at Photoshop, I would love some help on that picture. I'm not really happy with all my edits, but I don't think I have the talent/knowledge to do any better.

What do you guys think? I just posted this as my "August Desktop" and instead of uploading this pic without my desktop icons and stuff into photobucket and then to here I just decided to use my desktop pic again... But anywho I took this three nights ago.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! I really like your stuff too! I feel inferior sometimes do to the fact there are so many great pictures on here and they are mostly taken with DSLR's. I will be getting the Nikon D40, and I will hopefully have it soon and get some great shots!!

Sweet shot. Very well composed.

Owing to afternoon storms the last couple of days, I haven't had much opportunity to put my new D80 through its paces. But I managed to snap this grasshopper shortly before a deluge.

Thanks.
Regarding the off camera flash thing: I think I need to clarify my previous post. I didn't say the SB-600 can't do remote in auto-ttl commander mode--which is what KR is talking about--but rather that it hasn't a SU-4 mode which allows one to do manual wireless remote flash with a camera (like the D70/50/40/40x) that does not have a flash commander. To do auto-ttl wireless remote with either a SB-600 or the SB-800, the owner of one of these cameras would need an accessory hot shoe commander (SU-800?) or another SB-800 on camera. To do manual remote flash, an SB-600 owner needs a wire or an accessory flash slave, but the SB-800 has one built-in.
Here's a post from DPReview that says it in a different way.

Oh, ok. Mis-understood. Yeah, I liked Ken Rockwell for about 10 minutes, then I read a few sites and figured out how overblown his writing is.

Anyway, the bird shots reminded me of this one. I need to get out and take some shots, been way too long.
