Haven't posted here in a while....haven't taken many shots recently. I sort of got kicked out of an event on campus (at UCF) for taking pictures, apparently one of the staff people thinks they have a rule against it (but no one will produce evidence of this, even in the last month when I've asked repeatedly for policies on cameras on campus). They weren't kicked out all the people with PnS cameras, just me with my Pentax *ist DS, 135mmf2.8 lense and a cheapo flash....ever since then, I just haven't been "in the mood."
This picture was actually taken the day before I left for college. This girl is a friend, she and I and some other people had gone to a local spring to dive (me) and swim (them)....I don't remember taking this picture, or why I took it, but it was at the end of the day when we were all leaving.
So it was taken August 11th. With an *ist DS, 135mmf2.8 lense. Lense is manual, so I don't remember aperture. Probably f8 or f11, that's often a setting I use in bright sunlight. 1/640s shutter speed. Exif says ISO1600....it's possible. Usually I shoot at 200, but a friend had been using the camera, I guess he changed it. I didn't look at the time.
I DID post process it, in iPhoto. Blurred the edges and desaturated it somewhat. I don't usually do much post processing, but I like the look of this one desaturated and blurred. Click for larger version.
