Yeah, I'd say it's a bit heavy on the saturation....probably the photographer needs to get into the menu and adjust the settings on the camera. I think the D40 and D40x are like the D50, with the default set to make images "pop" right out of the camera, which in reality isn't always desirable.
Shot I took yesterday in the English Garden. How do you guys feel about the shade at the bottom? I'm ambivalent about it and can't decide if the photo would have been better if I weren't sitting under a tree.

I'm curious as to how much PP you guys do.
With some of these pictures, it's obvious. With others, not so much.
I'd honestly say that with the majority of my pictures, the only PP I do is to correct issues like CA/purple fringing and vingnetting.
