I loved this - freezing water in motion is often engrossing, but I thought this was a nice take on it.

A small skiff approaches a tuna fishing boat at Newport, OR harbor marina on Yaquina Bay.

I know that area very well and you've captured more color in the harbor that I can recall ever seeing (often lots of drab old paint made worse by cloudy or foggy days). Really pretty.

Thanks for the feedback. I've seen the gray, misty days too, but in the summer months and up until mid-Oct. the place is pretty darn colorful, even with all the rusting old hulks and fish processing buildings.

Anyway, today's pic from the waterfront area of Newport, OR. I only wish I could cut down a pole...

Having grown up in Newport, it's a bit odd seeing all the photos by pdxflint posted here. I thought I'd add one of my own from a trip home to visit the folks last June.

hey just curious how you did that...was that glow sticks? it's really cool lookin, nice job

I actually have a little UFO thing that has 4 different LEDs on it and I just started waving it around in random motions in front of my camera while it was set to an exposure time of 10 seconds. And thanks :)
