I think some of the foreground detail is a bit distracting. This cropped version is probably more pleasing.snap58 said:Nice crisp photo, great color.
I wonder if had you moved some to the left and used the pine tree to frame the right side of the picture, rather than a focal point, if more attention would have been placed on the lake. I like the lake, the pine tree is not very interesting to me.

I was trying something different. I didn't want to frame the lake because I've seen too many perfect framings. I was looking for a more earthy composition, showing not only pristine order but also rough randomness.crazydreaming said:I agree.
Also, is that snow????????

Snip.....
Thanks and glad you noticed! The photo has 2 subjects: the ceiling and the hallway with people. Depending on where you look (or where you scroll), one subject gives way to the other, which was the reason for taking the shot off-center.cookie1105 said:Really nice photograph. I can't seem to stop scrolling up and down over the photograph (1024x768 screen), it makes for a really nice effect. It brings a smile to my face.

Here's one of mine that I find interesting:

Is that a door mat? : )
I'm not quite sure what it is. It is a piece of cardboard-like paper that I found at a camp-fire place in the forest. I took a picture of the scene as it was instead of removing the rubble that casts shadow over it and the seeds/broken pine needles/dust on the paper.snap58 said:Is that a door mat? : )
