When I glanced at the thumbnail, it looked like a construction site. Upon further inspection, I'm rather fond of the colours. Too bad the shape is so boxy.

Thats fine. I know how you feel. I recently went on a trip to SF and Yosemite and my old TiBook died, and scrampled the hard drive, leading me to lose all of my holiday snaps, all 700 of them. BTW, does anybody know a way to revive a hard drive?

Might try removing the hard drive, put it in one of the HD enclosures you buy at CompUSA or a computer store, and see if it fires up. Even if it seems scrambled, ou can then try to recover it yourself to another hard drive.

There are several major intersections in Seoul with reconstructions of traditional city gates. They are all surrounded by modernity.
Also, Korea produces more than the usual amount of attractive women. :)

A great photograph. I have attached my interpretation of the same image. I love the square format as witnessed by some of my comments here.

I have been trying to collect 5x5 photographs on 8x8 mats signed by the photographer from images that catch my eye here.Yours is one of the ones that I would like to "own" given my limited wall space.

This is awesome Chris. I can't quite sort it out though - is it traffic going by, and then you flipped the image, or am I completely off?

You're correct, Mike. I like to flip my photos quite a bit of the time. I don't know why, I just find a lot of shots more appealing upside down.
Maybe it's because our eyes initially detect images upside-down, and our brain corrects it for us-- and mine doesn't like to? Heh.

Anyway, more with the 10-22, just my computer setup, since I rearranged my room a bit.

Yeah, I really really love that butterfly. :) Insects are just beautiful once you start photography. I normally think they're nasty little things, but now I just think of them as being particularly photogenic. :p

Here's a shot I took today of my friend playing guitar using my Nikon D50. I edited it slightly in Adobe Lightroom, but not much. Just some noise reduction, a slight crop to cut out some weird white annoying shape that just got into the photo, and tone adjustments.

Thanks for the thumbs up, ChipNM; I like it, too. I'm flattered that you'd want to hang my pic. By all means. What's this about signing a mat?

Also, your square crop is interesting. I think I see where you're going with that: emphasis on the screen-babe. Awright  I was looking more for a contrast of old culture/new culture, requiring a rather large swatch of old culture to balance the evident attractions of the new.

Oddly enough, I already had a framing similar to yours on file, uncropped; I just zoomed a bit more at the time, and captured a different screen image. One can only speculate as to what the advertisers were doing in this commercial--something to do with the #1 son concept, I believe.

You will see some spectacular things in Italy, and probably some very meaningful ones as well!

Apologies for violating the one-picture-per-day rule, but this one's for you.
