Tell me about the two on the right; or, rather, confirm for me if they are what I think they might be.

And, if they are, I think you may be in for a real treat.

Great collection. Enjoy.

Thanks! Confirming, I guess...
Westvleteren 12

Is that Amager? a sour black mash or are my eyes deceiving me?

Took a drive up to Lancaster, PA on a cider run, and stopped in to Mad Chef Craft Brewing for some lunch. Awesome food and great beer. This is the It Takes Brew to Mango

Agreed! Have you tried the Vitus as well?
I have, and the Kristallweissbier, which I think is also excellent.

Wow. Westvleteren 12 - fantastic. Do enjoy it to the very last drop, and I wish I could join you.

I hear its quite a good one. I wish I was able to get my hands on a bottle or two, but I'd have to hop on a plane and head overseas. I've heard also that St. Bernardus ABT 12 is comparable to the taste of Westvleteren, and it is one of my favorites

At one stage, apparently, the St Bernardus brewery shared facilities with Westvleteren, - and had an arrangement with them whereby they brewed some of their beers under licence - so I can well imagine that they may have been deemed to be similar.

The other beer that is also supposed to be fairly similar is the Trappistes Rochefort 12, which is also first rate.

Westvleteren 12 is a great Belgia quad indeed.
Although in my opinion somewhat overrated though, and I feel it's on the level as St. Bernardus Abt 12, Rockefort 10 and Chimay Bleue.

St. Bernardus actually produced the Westvleteren beers on license from 1946 to 1992, and continued brewing the same style in their own name when the license ended. So no wonder they are very similar. Although Westvleteren only can be officially had through the monastery shop, they can be had elsewhere and even online. I "only" travelled to Copenhagen, Denmark to pick up my bottles..

Love that beer; and, I even have the appropriate glass - complete with little pink elephants - to accompany.

I have one as well!

Enjoy.

Yes, I had sort of remembered that there was a link between them; the St Bernardus 12, and Trappistes Rochefort 10 are both excellent and first rate beers.

One of the many excellent beers by Founder's.

pic?

an actual glass for delirium?

Yes, they exist.

Two years ago, I ordered one or two sets of mixed Belgian beer glasses - from Belgium. Anyway, when they arrived, they included beer chalices (or glasses) made by St Bernardus, Trappistes Rochefort, Chimay, Gulden Draak, and so on. I used - and use - them nightly whenever I drink these classic beers.

There was one Delirium Tremens glass, complete with pink elephants; I gave it to my mother's carer - because she said she loved it.

My camera runs on film, and I don't have a smart phone - mine is an antique 15 year old Nokia, so no pictures, unfortunately.
