Though I hope my next car will be pre 74 Triumph TR6 or Datsun 240z.... Having to smog and not having the ability to have a car that has a ballsy sound with a modern car bores me. I am fully ok with 10mpg or less right now

My current two cars, but mini is for sale
Since last year has had a head rebuild, fuel management worked on, upped the boost and a TRD wing on the back. I've owned it over 5 years now and it still scares the s*** out of me.
Classic 1990 Mini Cooper (last of the carb engines) with a full recon engine, gearbox, doors and glass out respray. Handles like a go-kart and wish I could keep it but it's just sat in the garage being unappreciated

Am running 1.6 bar on a single turbo with a fair bit of power... anything else will just restrict it and cause higher exhaust gas temps and backpressure, I could lose anything up to a good 50bhp as well as cook the turbo.
I'm a function man far before form, it's there through necessity rather than look/sound. Not too loud and does pass track decibel limits. Big power turbo cars you ideally want a free flowing exhaust as possible.
If I was driving a 1.6 non-turbo I'd completely agree though if I had a 4" exhaust I'd be a ****
