iPhone X Possible $1300 6.5 inch iPhone X (Plus?) next year. Would you buy?

I am hoping that apple adjusts their pricing and offers the X+ for $1299 256gb. But then again, this is apple.
You’re not just paying for a ‘Size.’ With size, comes with more features. That’s How Apple marketed the iPhone Plus models with more exclusive features with the dual camera, 1080 P display, landscape/portrait mode, etc. They’re going to give the iPhone X Plus some exclusive feature and try to entice the customer why they would want the larger, more expensive model. That’s Apples marketing at its finest.

getting beyond ludicrous imo even for a device you use every day, (that hasn't changed since OG iPhone days fwiw) considering its 'throwaway tech' if you upgrade every year,
makes Macs seem like an absolute steal if you aren't the same chronic yearly upgrader (why would you be?)

If the phone does retail for $1300 for the larger size, many people will lease it for 1 year. They won't really pay the retail price unless they want to keep it.
Likewise when I trade my iPhone X in with EE and get the x plus I’m hoping my monthly tariff will be similar.
I expect the highest storage X Plus to be around $1349. It's hella expensive, but this is the iPhone I was hoping to get released alongside the current X. It's finally happen. I'm on it. I'm going to be realistic that I won't get my hands on one until after Thanksgiving. This was about the time I was able to get an X, which I later returned.
Not Necessarily. That’s what everybody was saying about the iPhone X when it was going to launch, that ‘Nobody would be able to get one’ and it would be ‘After the new year until Apple caught up on orders’, etc. However, I think if the iPhone X Plus is priced higher than most would be interested in, With Apple expanding three model iPhones this year with a 6.1/5.8 /6.5, that gives more variety of a choice to the consumer. And I don’t think the iPhone X Plus will be the most popular, because it might be the most expensive, which might strengthen availability. There might be some constraint initially at first, but if Apple has a decent amount of production models available for the iPhone X Plus, then there might be more stock available.
Yeah I highly doubt availability would be a problem on an X Plus. With its extreme price tag and huge form it will appeal to a much smaller audience.
If Apple includes 3D Touch on the 6.1 LCD rumored iPhone, that’s a huge selling point for me. So I’m hoping they may retain that feature specifically, even though it’s rumored that it may not be. And Apples LCD displays are some of the best in the industry as well.
They won't add 3d touch to keep low cost? Didn't that idea came into your mind?
I’m with you there. I don’t care about the single camera as it’s all I’m used to anyway but it has to have 3DTouch to keep my interest. As long as the device is not too much bigger than my 6S that is. Not bothered about OLED particularly as I’m happy with the quality of LCD. It’s just that one rumour that’s putting me off. The X Plus will be one of those devices where you’ll see one once in a while I think.
It will be noticeably bigger than a 6s - the X is already marginally larger than the standard iPhone 6-8 at 5.8... it’ll probably end up intermediary in size between the 4.7 and 5.5, maybe slightly closer to a plus based on the width of the screen if you look up a comparison
Ah, that’s a bit of a killer then. I hate big phones and could handle slightly bigger than I have already but if it’s going to be closer to the Plus then I won’t bother looking at it. I have a feeling i’ll be getting an iPhone 8 come September the way things are going.
The current iPhone X offers 64GB and 256. Apple won't be selling 16GB and 32GB on their future flagship phones.
If some of the rumors are true, look for either 128 or 512GB storage sizes on the bigger phone.

I thought it was obviously a joke, although i suppose some people could actually believe it going by past experiences....
I recently bought an X which I’m very happy with. For me, the X is a great compromise between phone and screen size. That said, no doubt my wife would be all over an X Plus when she’s due her upgrade at the end of the year.
There was also the rumour the 6.1 would be replacing the 8 series - I don’t know if by that they mean the 8 is disappearing or just the usual everything gets shunted down a place?
I’m happy to buy last year’s iPhone 8 and make a saving rather than buy a new iPhone 6.1” inferior on features. Apples direction is truly puzzling of late. They are really cutting out a core part of their consumers downgrading mainstream offerings and putting prices up. I’ve gone from getting the latest and greatest to really questioning where my money is actually going.
