MBP CD 2.16ghz: About 46C but I keep the fan speed around 2800 with SMC to hold the temp down, and I try to let it idle - I hate hot computers. If I'm not running SMC or I have something hogging the CPU, like a game or P2P, it can get to 75C.

And yes, I'm an American but use Celsius. Respect the metric system; it represents scientific progress.

ouch.... it's hot

My comp runs at idle somewhere between 120-135 degrees fahrenheit. When I open World of Warcraft, here's what happens. Seems crazy, but maybe because my crappy integrated graphics processor is working overtime. Note that I am running WoW in windowed mode, not full screen and that iStat and smcFanControl show relatively the same temperature. Hmm starting to wonder how good it is to be running WoW on my Macbook 2.0

About average temperature for my 1.83 mac mini. Does anyone know why it might be showing two 'CPU A' ? Because of the two cores?

right now it's at 99 degrees but when i'm watching movies, surfing, emailing, etc it runs about 130 and then i start getting worried

if my computer was ever at 170 i'd shut it down and put a fan on it...

With Handbrake running...
Celsius, then Fahrenheit.

CPUTEMP.jpg

I ran system load at 96% for ten minutes...

After turning off system load (after another ten minutes)

my CPU temp only dropped to 76 C

I barely bought this macbook (13" 2.4 ghz the new one...) and use it for music production.
When I run ableton live with the cpu at 35% temperature is usually at 65 C, so i fear running it further. Should I take it to the mac guys at best buy? I asked one employee at best buy and not a "genius" and he told me that they are supposed to run that hot...?

any help would be appreciated thanks

Right now I'm browsing the web on my 1.67GHz 15" Powerbook, while it's sitting on an enormous fluffy shag rug.
