I'm looking at this motherboard, will it work, I just need a WiFi card and a Graphics card for the PCI(PCIe) slots.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157146

That motherboard, E8400 processor, a 512MB PCIe graphics card, and two hard drives (SATA)- Will a 450Watt power supply be enough to power all that?

Easily. Go for a 400W Corsair. $49.99 plus $10 mail in rebate.

I wouldn't go for that board. It's kinda crappy, try this.

EXCELLENT board.

Ordered some Red Fans and Cathodes, and need to sort out the Mesh Window. Got the E7400 Clocked to 4Ghz, Temps never above 50C on the CPU, 70C on the GPU, and thats without any intake fans.

Cost Total £680.

To Do List
- Spray the Inside of the Case
- Tidy the Cables
- Add a Mesh Window
- Overclock the GTX275
- Watercool (Dual Rad in the Front....? Enough to cool a GPU and CPU?)

Nice build

Personally I wouldn't watercool if you're already hitting 4GHz with the E7200 - just slap on an aftermarket cooler to the GTX275 if u want lower temps on that. Unless you're into the watercooling hobby, then a dual rad is enough for a E7200 and GTX275

Sweet! My dad was like "If you can sell your computer right now for over $400, I'll go ahead and let you build a new one".
Now, to sell it!

Nice!

They've got some pretty nice deals on hardware these days, so you can build a nice upgrade for the price right now

Gigabyte G-31-MX-S2 motherboard
Intel E4500- 2.2Ghz
Xion 450Watt power supply
2 DVD burners at 22x each
160GB (as well as a Slave 1TB) Western Digital 7200RPM SATA

What's a good Graphics card for less than 50$?
It needs to have 512mb RAM.

A 4670 512MB after rebate is close to $50, but look from there on down. The 4670 is actually a pretty decent performer too for its price, and will probably drop a bit more in price now that the 4770 is out

I'm not an overclocker at all. I don't even think my motherboard can handle it.

Plus, I'm selling it for $400, This guy sent me an e-mail asking to buy it for $400. I don't know if I should agree, seeing as how I listed it as $420.
(Yes, This is my first time selling something on Craigslist)

hhmm seems like a bit of a cheap buy! yu should overclock it to 2.8ghz/3ghz then sell it for $500 :):)

i had mine at 3ghz on stock air, i bought a cheap $20 ebay cooler and the temps idle really low. you should think about even doing in minimally. might get more monies :)

Yeah, maybe he should, but he may mess something up... in this economy, I'd say take the $400.

I'll try overclocking once these files are done transferring onto my NAS.

*Waits patiently for 2 more hours*

EDIT: Okay, I cancelled that, went into the BIOS, and messed around. Now I think I messed up my computer lol.
I think I actually downclocked it? (Whenever I try to do anything, it acts all slow, and my CPU usage jumps to 70-80%)
Can y'all help me out on how to overclock this thing? I went into the tweaker thing on my Motherboard BIOS, and it is displayed with the following numbers:

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA yes you did downclock it!!!

change the multiplyer to "12x". to increase the clock you want to increase the frequency to higher then what it was.

The highest it can go is 11 :(

really??? hmm.. i have the same model of CPU as you just a higher stock clock and mine can go to 12. that must be why. leave it at 11 & leave the frequency at 200mhz, that will give you your stock clock.

if you change the frequency to 250mhz that will take your CPU to 2.75GHz :)
