MacBook Pro clear acrylic mstand
12 South MacBook Air Clamshell acrylic stand
Printer stand, in acrylic.
Speaker stands in acrylic.

Good Job, you missed one though. I wasn't basing the designs off any one company's, but the belkin zero stand inspired the laptop stand. The laptop stand I actually made from a broken panel from a Dallas Stars hockey game.

Good job. How did you bend it?

I do it for a living so I used a piece of equipment at work called a strip heater that will heat material in a straight line, so I cut up the raw material and bent it up.

Her is a during and after shot

Current work setup

It's only just getting set up, but here is my "work" (grad school) desk as of right now.

25ti0rc.jpg

To the left is a Dell ST2220T touchscreen (which I'll use for research once I purchase the apple drivers- not cheap). However, I'm getting used to having a third monitor so I may have to buy a replacement once it leaves my desk and enters the lab ;)

Middle is a Samsung LCD.

Right is a 15' rMPB (powering the screens via thunderbolt hookups).

Sorry for crappy lighting. I'm in what I call "the bat cave" (grad students get no office love 'round here).

Temporary set up whilst I transition from Mac mini to MacBook, trying to get the rest ready to sell but can't stop playing with the new MacBook!

Here's my setup. I love the move of the desk into this corner. I'm currently figuring out my speakers and their placement, for now they are all on my desk and not being used.

Nice set up, I like the way its simple and seems to be hidden away behind that wall.

How I would work it with the speakers;

I'd move the monitor into the middle of the desk straight in front of you. Then move the mini down onto the desk, over in the corner, put the leads down the back of the desk and then back up into the monitor to keep them out of sight. Then I would position you speakers, 5 is it? On the 4 corners of the desk and 1 in front where the monitor is. That should give you the best sound quality and best experience

Thanks! I appreciate the suggestion on the speakers and the monitor placement. Thank you so much!

the fact that its made from a broken panel at a hockey game makes it even cooler.

Wall mounted display... LEDs... Mac mini?!
We don't care whose it is, as long as you don't say it's yours.
