for those that received USPS as a carrier, if you sign up for email notifications through usps.com, you'll receive more detailed information as to where your iphone is. tracking the shipment regularly through the main page won't yield specifics.

disappointed that I won't receive my iphone today. and my wireless monthly plan has now changed since my iphone has shipped. My voicemail on my at&t 8525 doesn't even work anymore because of the iphone visual voicemail on my account.

ordered on the 10th too

Good news!!

I only had to wait 41 of my 60 estimated minutes!

And the guy is being nice.

well i still got nothing. no tracking, no emails, no info...nothing...ordered on the 9th

Result:

My phone hasn't shipped. He had to tell me "it will be 7-14 days" until it ships. But then he winked (yes over the phone) and said "your order looks like it was in early enough and it won't take that long).

So hopfully Monday.

MavsX... as you've seen. I'm in the same boat. I bet when you called nobody could give you an answer or do anything to expedite your order because of "the system", right?

I love dealing with companies that not only don't empower their employees to do things, they don't hire people who take initiative to even try to track down answers.

This is why people had a problem with AT&T having an exclusive... not because the AT&T network or the products are bad. But the customer service and "take it or leave it" mentality is burning some bridges. Hopefully we both have some good news soon. After spending over 2 hours on the phone today though I am fairly certain in saying that we're pretty much screwed.

yeah man. wtf. sorry you didn't get what you paid for.

i am just pissed at the communication problem with at&t and their customers.

i got buddies that ordered after me, by 3 days via premier just like me, and they got their phones today. How is that possible? i ordered mine 3 days earlier..and mine doesn't even show that it has shipped.

whats worse is they cant even give me a tracking #?

what is it going to magically arrive today or tomorrow give me a break

they have a whole day today to ship out the rest of the premier orders. isn't it ironic that we ordered from premier but get the phones last.

Ordered my phone on 6/10. The Premier order status since then has only shown "We have received your order request, and we expect to begin processing it shortly." The regular ATT order status page was showing 3 items: "Various SIM", "Freight", and the phone itself, similar to what others have reported. Up until mid-day yesterday, they all had a status of processing, qty ordered of 1, qty shipped and back-ordered both 0. At that point, I called customer support. After being put on hold a couple of times, I was told that the phone wouldn't ship until sometime after 6/19. No idea when, just sometime after 6/19. When I asked why, I was told that *no phones* were shipping until after 6/19. I made sure she really meant shipping (vs. delivered) after 6/19, and that it applied to every ATT order, and she confirmed that was true. I can't believe how many people on the internet are lying and saying they've already received their phones from ATT today, because how could they have received them when they haven't even shipped??? I guess it makes them feel special to make people think they got a phone when they really didn't.

Then when I checked the regular ATT status online later in the day, the phone and freight were no longer listed, only the SIM, showing that it had shipped (UPS 2-day). I received an email late in the day stating that my order had been partially shipped, and the rest was on back order. Woo-hoo! I'm getting my SIM card on Monday!! I don't mean to look down on you non-Premier customers who are getting your phones before me even though you ordered later than I did, but you're probably taking that SIM and slapping it right into the phone, overly anxious to have a working iPhone. With the Premier service of getting my SIM 7-14 days before my iPhone (or who knows what, assuming I'm now not getting one from the first wave of phones), I'll be able to take the time to appreciate the SIM card, admire it's beauty, contemplate the magic hidden in it's shiny golden rectangles, carry it around in my wallet and show it to my family and friends.

OK, I did read a post where someone said their SIM shipment did include the phone. I'm slightly hopeful, but the email telling me it was a partial shipment and the rest is backordered sure makes it sound like there won't be a phone in that package. There's been no change in the online order status today. Was just on the phone with ATT support again trying to get clarification, and was cut off.

Thanks, ATT, for making me feel so important!

This sucks.

I feel as if AT&T could have prepared for this better and should have had way way more phones in stock, considering they are the EXCLUSIVE provider of this phone.

I guess I am hanging out with my 2G until next week...

That may be one of the most awesome message board posts I've ever read. EXCELLENT! :)

You know, Bukka, I don't mean to deflate any of your post, but if you have a "Various SIM" or whatever line that has a tracking number, your phone is in that package. Same thing happened to mine, and I got it today.

The rest still applies, though.

Mine went from fort worth to the dallas airport to the dallas ups center then via truck to jackson MS then via truck to Atlanta where it is as of 300 est and where it will sit till sunday and then travel the one hour south to columbus and be sent to my house on monday. it they would of put it on a plane it would at least be in my city today and i could try to bribe the off to pull it for me but no. nothing like 2 day air on a truck

AT&T Premier Agent called me personally

Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know what just happened a second ago.

So I had posted a few messages on Facebook the other day about my frustrations regarding this situation as well as an e-mail I got saying I'd be charged starting today rather than when I activated the phone.

So I just got a direct call from an AT&T Premier supervisor explaining that I had gotten the incorrect e-mail and that I would not be charged until activation. He was very polite and responsive. Now, my phone was delivered today, so I did not have any complaints (anymore).

Anyway, I figured those guys are getting torn up pretty bad right now, and to not post some praise where praise is due wouldn't be right.

I know a bunch of you still haven't gotten your phones, and that sucks pretty bad. But on my end, I'm giving them another chance. This type of call-back is exactly what wins customers over, including me. It seems they are listening over on the FB page. I hope you all will be treated like this soon! And you will all have iPhones soon, too! :)

P.S. SIM CARDS ARE PRE-LOADED INTO THE IPHONES!!! So yes the one-line SIM card is for the whole shebangabang.

UPS or Fed Ex?

My UPS shipment still says it is at the airport in TX.

It was FedEx, originally slated for Monday 6/22 delivery. It flew from Memphis to Seattle early this morning and made it to the sort center near me close to 8 AM this morning.

I wasn't actually home (not expecting it to arrive) and the driver left it under my doormat by my apartment door, no signature. I am ecstatic it came today because I'm going out of town Monday and now I know my phone would have been sitting by my door for 2 weeks... I mean until someone stole it.

I'm really sorry for all of you guys who aren't getting your phones today. :( I had lost all hope for mine too and somehow just got lucky. I should add that my email from AT&T last night said some items were backordered but I definitely got the phone that I ordered and nothing was missing.

I am hopeful....

seems that it is becoming more and more common as the day progressed, ignore the Order Status page and watch out for the Brown and Fedex trucks as it enters your street?

I got a call back from the CSR I was talking to earlier when we got cutoff. I must say, I was rather surprised, and definitely impressed, that she took the time to do that. She definitely won back some points for ATT in my book, and I let her know the callback was much appreciated. She also assured me that everything shipped in that one package, and I've also since read that the SIM comes pre-installed in the phone, so I am now expecting everything to arrive on Monday.

Of course, that still doesn't explain why I don't have the phone today like I should have. And why in the world did they email me saying my order was partially shipped and partially back ordered? But at this point, I'm happy that I'll be getting the phone on Monday, I was afraid it was going to be delayed well beyond that.
