Absolutely and Apple was just waiting for this situation to step up prices once again. Apple is being Apple even in the crisis, or somebody was expecting it to do charity in this time? Those currencies aren't bouncing back anytime soon lol. But completely agree - no chance.
It's strange how some find 120hz a few breaker but not others. I have had it on my ipad pro models since 2017 but never notice not having it on my iPhone or laptops.I really wish I didn't love 120Hz as much as I do, this price hike wouldn't even be a predicament for me and I'd happily go for an iPhone 12 or 13.
Now it just feels like I'm being priced out of the actual product I want and am forced on settling for a secondary option.
Not what I heard here and there and notably in the professional press. Funny thing to hear the contrary from the actual users. The battery is very good on 13 mini. Of course, it is not as good as on bigger phones, but it gets your through the day.
In Europe everything is at the top except for some countries which have substantial taxes (Mexico) the only outlier is Switzerland which has a price below the UK, which seems to have avoided most of the brunt of the Europe jump. Luxembourg is surprisingly ‘low’ as well.
Considering both Switzerland and Luxembourg are notoriously expensive countries, this is unusual to say the least.
Amazing post 👏Don't worry, if they see people supporting their disgusting actions on overpricing these products, you can expect a 1700€ iphone pro 128gb next year, with a 10% faster DYNAMIC ISLAND and same cpu!
And to tell you more, here is -random person-
I don't use my mini for mobile hotspot often, but with regular use without gaming (I don't play games on my phone), YouTube is rather frequent and other social media apps - all is good. Apparently 13 mini is better than 12 mini. Not what I heard here and there and notably in the professional press. Funny thing to hear the contrary from the actual users.
To be honest, I was quite attracted by the mini in the first place but I need a great battery life as I spend most of my day with my iPhone connected to my Mac with mobile hotspot so the battery melts like crazy. I had to buy the battery case for my 11 Pro in order to fulfill my needs.
In some parts. In Scandinavia, iMessage is the most widely used messaging platform followed by FaceBook Messenger. In Europe everybody uses WhatsApp and Telegram, almost nobody use iMessage…

I even mainly message some people through instagram DM as we comment on each other's stories. In some parts. In Scandinavia, iMessage is the most widely used messaging platform followed by FaceBook Messenger.

And imagine what it's going to be like if apple actually increases the iphones pricing
The truth is that the average consumer doesn't need the latest iPhone. Even the 12 is good enough for even the advanced user. Spotify, Yiktok, Safari, YouTube. Instagram and banking apps work identically across the iphone range.I’m in the U.K. and things are tough here for many people but I’ve taken measures to minimise the effect on me and my family. Having an electric car and locking in a good energy deal. Between 1am and 6am it’s incredibly cheap so car, washer and dishwasher are all on timers. I have managed to avoid any price increase until May 2024 and I still get the £400 from the government and the Council Tax Rebate and I never buy petrol. I shall be parting with £2300 for two iPhones for myself and my husband which is quite a lot more than the prices last year. I also locked in prices for our current iPhones nice and early and used any vouchers, and discount codes where I can. We love our iPhones, so by being savvy and making some cuts, we feel we can manage the price increases.
How did this topic become a discussion about energy crisis? USD has been extremely strong last 12 months, of course iPhone prices here in Europe will go up.
Anyway, most people buy their phone on a 24 month contract. So the increase won't be that noticeable for the large mass of people.
I'm in Switzerland and "happy" with the deal I can make. Sure the prices are high, but I can trade in my current 12 Pro.
I will opt for the 512GB iPhone Pro which costs 1'539 CHF, but I will trade my iPhone 12 Pro for 305 CHF to get a final price of 1'234 CHF, which is less than the 1'249 CHF I pad for my 256GB 12 Pro.
which country? and do you think some of your shops could sell to other countries?Electronics are often a bit cheaper here for the latest models of things. Our VAT rate is 7.7% and companies tend to price electronics the same as in the Euro zone. However, with lower VAT the end-price is cheaper.
In Switzerland, iPhone 14 pro is 1219€ vs 1329€ in Francewhich country? and do you think some of your shops could sell to other countries?
Money out: 1539 + 1249I'm in Switzerland and "happy" with the deal I can make. Sure the prices are high, but I can trade in my current 12 Pro.

You can just go to Switzerland and buy the phone (well, once there's availability). Technically, you should import it into your own country and pay the relevant VAT.which country? and do you think some of your shops could sell to other countries?
Are you for real? You're wrong. Almost everybody in Europe use Whatsapp, even iPhone users. In the last year, almost 80% of my contacts got a Telegram account.
hes a very popular guyAre you for real?
You're talking about "your contacts" and "almost everybody in Europe" and assuming this is the same?
