Yep, every German rides a Porsche and every German was involved in the scandal.
Jesus, some people turn off their brains before they post
We are all Nazis too!

This is how Apple operates in the EU.
Weak Euro -> price increase.
Strong Euro -> price stay the same.
The Euro is extremely weak right now but will probably bounce back soon. And mark my words, Apple won't lower prices when it happens.
Calculations are easy enough: 1 dollar is around 1 euro, US prices are excluding tax, and typical VAT in Europe is 20%.
So add 20% to the US price, compare to the Euro price, and the difference tells you how much more Apple is charging to European customers.
I can get 2 S22 or 1 S22 Ultra and about 600 euro over for fun or save ...Well, I will stick with Samsung and move to an ultra and use the 600 euro’s left in my pocket to have some fun.
as always apole adapts to exchange rates as it suits them. I guess they will rush to new max models to do the same with pricing.
If you think prices are an outrage, don't buy them. Simple.
Apple doesn't care what we think, all that matters is sales and stock price.
I'm in Switzerland and "happy" with the deal I can make. Sure the prices are high, but I can trade in my current 12 Pro.
I will opt for the 512GB iPhone Pro which costs 1'539 CHF, but I will trade my iPhone 12 Pro for 305 CHF to get a final price of 1'234 CHF, which is less than the 1'249 CHF I pad for my 256GB 12 Pro.
I am going to Dubai for a lay over in December.
iPhone is 200€ cheaper
AirPod Pro 2 50€ cheaper
Might as well wait and shop at the Dubai mall
Inflation is what’s going on!Yes, the European prices are nuts. I was not planning to get iPhone 14, but was expecting a discount on 13 mini and here is what we actually got before/after the event:
Belgium - 809€/809€ (0 discount)
France - 809€/809€ (0 discount)
Germany - 809€/799€ (10€ discount)
Italy - 839€ now (not sure what it was before)
Switzerland - 779CHF/699CHF (80CHF discount)
UK - £679/£649£ (£30 discount)
And these are all for the last year’s “not very popular” iPhone mini. What’s going on, Apple? 🤷🏻♂️
why you need a iPhone while you there in nice weather by the beachJust check they are not sold crippled there or have all the necessary 5G bands for Europe. A while back iPhones destined for the UAE did not have FaceTime. This has now been sorted out, I believe, but the bands still need to be checked. ✋
Almost certainly it's that they're hedging against further forex drops in Europe into the winter. Forced industry shutdowns in response to power shortages are likely to aggravate already sputtering economic performance, and that will be reflected in €/£/kr./zł. etc.But it’s not that clear cut as according to,posters in this website no US state charged anywhere near 20% tax. I think the most is 8%. But still their seems to be a 10% difference that’s unexplainable. Most likely for that extra profit. However it’s sakes will drop I can guarantee that across Europe. But that’s true for all luxury goods at present.

leave the phone' ''excitement'' for north europeans
How did this topic become a discussion about energy crisis? USD has been extremely strong last 12 months, of course iPhone prices here in Europe will go up.
Anyway, most people buy their phone on a 24 month contract. So the increase won't be that noticeable for the large mass of people.
While this may seem minor to many people, it is significant. It shows that if the pound continues to tumble and our economy continues to falter, there is the potential for Apple to increase the prices of products that were released months/years ago.Even the SE got a price rise in the UK from £419 to £449.
yes but going to Dubai
