Just bought the Pro Display with Nano texture & stand (was using a Thinkvision 28" 4K before) I was totally speechless, 100% speechless, it's just amazing!! But one thing that bugs me a lot, is the screen got scaled to 3008 x1692, I wanted 3840 x 2160 via SwitchResX but it doesn't support HDPI which makes everything blurry. Can anyone help?

Can anyone help?If you're using an M1 Mac (not M1 Max or M1 Pro), then you may be stuck. To get a 3840x2160 HiDPI mode, you need to have a 7680x4320 scaled mode which you can try adding in SwitchResX. Doesn't upscaling 4K (or downscaling 7k) to 6k look kind of blurry and fuzzy? I wouldn't bother with resolutions that don't have a perfect 2x scaling factor.
Not sure if this is interesting for XDR owners, but I can imaging having this display is sometime tempting to watch on it some HDR video from Netflix , Vimeo. Doing this from safari could be annoying.

No, this wouldn't work. The AppleTV uses an HDMI connection, wheras the Pro Display has a Thunderbolt input.
But you can run the AppleTV app that's included in macOS. Similar experience.
Everything was fine, I followed the instructions and got the "Looks like 3840x2160 HiDPI" visual result. I made the Pro Display XDR mirror the dummy (16:9, 3840x2160).
I've finally bit the bullet after going through many monitors and have ordered x2 XDR's now.
Is anyone using one *dual* VESA mount and if so, which one as want something with a good build and nice looking and not a cheap one after stumping up for the XDR's.

Yeah, understand that and did make me wonder but I need them asap and don't want to be waiting for the next thing around the corner.
Also, if they are bigger monitors, x2 will prob be too big.
I may not get them until mid May anyway so if WWDC do anounce something, I may just be in my 30 day return window still if they are released and spec/price is good.
The Pro XDR was (realistically) a 2020 release. Apple are going to announce a hardware upgrade to the kitchen sink just 2 years in?

It‘s been introduced at WWDC 2019 alongside the Mac Pro which officially is the 2019 model. So no, it‘s not just two years and I really hope they‘ll update it.
The XDR display I ordered back in March and which was scheduled to arrive this week just had its delivery date pushed way into June. Supply chain issues? Or signs of an updated version arriving at WWDC?

Yeah my 2nd XDR I ordered in March has just slipped to June too, but the stand is Preparing to Ship right now and will deliver in the a couple of days.
I just checked out the Studio Display order thread and those orders are being pushed out too (not by as much though), so I’m inclined to think this is just supply chain issues. Also given the stand has shipped, it seems that is likely…unless the stand is the same on the possible new model, which is could be.

Nope, no email at all. They just silently pushed the date out. Only saw this by accident when I was checking on my Mac Studio order.
Hi, would like to ask whether you had the glass replaced for the scratches? I assume it's under apple care+?
Whoah. Not that I’ve followed the inventory status of the XDR display, but I’m surprised to see that it is supply constrained as well. I assumed I’d be able to relatively easily order one for in-store pickup since it’s not a recent release— I suppose it’s relatively niche enough they wouldn’t keep much inventory.
I've ordered x2 via Apple Business and there were none available at any store (in the UK).
My order from mid Apr is now showing as Processing so fingers crossed they don't get pushed back.
