Not the same game. This is the 2023 RE4 remake, which is not available on PS3.
And apple delivers AAA Phones for AAAA price which are not able to play games after one year 😆
It's not a skin or expansion on an old game. It's essentially the same story, but there are a lot of changes--some major and some minor. But it's completely rebuilt from the ground up on RE Engine, the voiceovers are all new, the gameplay and controls are modernized, lots of new elements, scenes, and puzzles that are not in the original game.

So I can still buy and run games with a device from 2006. That’s why I would chose a console over apple for gaming any time.
You also need to buy a TV and space for it. Can you pocket a used PS3 & TV to play games on the bus/train to/from work?
Many persons buying Apple devices do not see themselves buying used hardware or software.
It’s not used HW. It’s HW I bought new back then which still works. So if you buy a PS5 you might use it for years to come. If you should buy an iphone for gaming…. Next year you might be out of luck already outdated, can’t enjoy the new ones.

AAA gaming won’t work well on mobile because most of its audiences are used free to play and dirt cheap prices

If I'll buy 1 game in the years to come of the PS5 isn't that a waste of money?
I have no intention to buy more than 2 $60 games within a decade.
Then I have to buy a TV to make the PS5 work as it does not have a built-in OLED display.
Can I pocket a Xbox Series X or PS5 + OLED TV?
Also the absurdity of insisting Apple will obsolete flagship hardware within 12 months is very juvenile.
The question is, other than the price, is what the controls with look like, or are they expecting you to just use a Bluetooth controller. Because the controls is always been an issue with games like this one the iPhone.
I would encourage getting a console over an iphone. The iphone is only the latest and greatest device for one year. so if you are unlucky you might not be able to play your second game. If you want to play games while in Bus or train with your mobile get some casual games. At home turn on your console.
I'll be honest, I almost never play console games. If I had known I'd be able to play the RE4 Remake on iPad, iPhone, or Mac last year I would have never bought a PS5. This remake was what made me decide to invest in a PS5.
Some of us would enjoy playing console quality games on the device we already own, and the argument that "next year it won't be the latest and greatest" is so odd. They'll launch a PS5 model next year that's smaller and more capable than the one currently for sale, and games will come out optimized for it. The games will trickle down to some previous models with updated features disabled just like they do for previous gen consoles.
Billions of adults sees buying a gaming PC or console just to play 1 or 2 games over a span of a decade a waste of time and money.
Over 9 of 10 are likely to change their iPhone within 3-5 years. So the lies of obsolete flagship hardware within 12 months that you are spreading online is kids stuff.
Maybe kids stuff but I never experienced the situation that any HW I bought was outdated after only one year.
Only apple made me having this bad experience. And I will not be the only one with their strategy. Oh I see apple stock is down again today.
Someone on this thread or another thread mentioned that RE4 on 6GB iPhone crashes while 8GB doesn't.
Perhaps that's why it was limited to the newer models?

I see your argument. But it’s only valid if you have a device which can run this game. Would you upgrade your iphone only to be able to play this game? I bet no. It’s a better idea to get the console instead.
Then optimize it so it can run with 6GB. Or apple could have chosen other games for promotion.

Apple's smart enough to use it as a feature title to highlight the latest and greatest. They look towards the future & not the past.
When 1996 Quake DOS came out it a was feature title for the original Pentium 1. It barely ran on Intel's 486. I'm sure someone who thought like you did whined about it running like hot garbage on the previous chip but truth is it is designed for future users.

Yes, I would upgrade my phone to play this game (although I don't need to because i have a modern mac and iPad pro). But since I'm already an iPhone user and would own one anyway, I would actually rather have invested in a newer iPhone over a whole PS5 i barely use.
We will see how smart or not smart they are in a few years. I think will not be successful with this strategy. you mentioned once their market cap. I see they are already losing.
