Well, everything ok with it on first sight. Only when I look to the screen from right or left, it's very yellow. Is that also that very popular yellow problem?
 
I think so yeah... do you think it's too yellow? And is it okay if you look straight at it?

(Mine's now also out for delivery so I'll probably to see it myself pretty soon as well ;))
 
Hi,

I ordered mine through the Belgian web store on Jun 9, 2007 om 02:05 PM GMT. Still the status is "not shipped yet", with an (unchanged) estimated shipping date of 25 Jul, 2007 and arriving 01 Aug, 2007.

I called customer service once, but they assured me they deliver first in, first out.

Are many others who ordered after me recieving their MBP's faster? Especially interested in the ones living in the Benelux.
 
ooo something new Apecode is now just saying "Feil ved nedlasting".

What does that mean - being transferred to TNT ? (No tracking number still)

It's Norwegian for "can't download" or something along those lines. Basically means that apecode can't get any information from K+N.

That's what I've been getting for the last 2-3 days.

I've still got absolutely no idea where my laptop is either...

When I look straight to it, no problem at all, only a yellow tint when I look right or left. And that yellow is very obvious, the apple bar is completly yellow then, only the edges are white.

If you can't see anything wrong when you look straight at it, it's fine - it just doesn't have an amazing viewing angle. The real problem people seem to be reporting is that they get a band across the screen where it's discoloured, even looking straight at it.

Assuming you don't have that problem, time to be happy with your new toy ;)
 
Shipping date put back 2 weeks!!!

My shipping has been put back, after them telling me it should ship today!

I'm going to put it in writing - anyone have an email address I can complain to. speaking to the helpdesk is a waste of time. I don't mind if its because they are fixing known problems - but I want to be told this - not that demand was higher than anticiptaed - I was one of the first who ordered, so this is B*llocks

Here's something even more annoying... if I put my number into apecode, but add or substract 1 from it, I can see tracking information for other people - both of whom ordered the same laptop (you can tell by the part ID displayed) - both of which seem to have taken the same route as mine but arrived at their destinations...

Mine really has just disappeared.
 
What i have realised that i havn't mentioned before is that I had a discount on the MBP - 8% same as the education discount (I work for the NHS) I wonder if they are prioritising those who have paid full price? I'm still going to put my complaint in writing...

That's really weird... perhaps they forgot to scan it?

Nope, mine was also ordered through the educational store with the education discount.

Yesterday I send an email to Apple to ask if I would receive my MBP quicker if I cancelled and reordered.

One hour later I got a call from apple. They were apologising for the fact I had to wait such a long time. They assured me that I would end up at the back of the line if I cancelled and reordered and I should wait and see.

Then I told him that I got the idea that some people have ordered later and received earlier. He told me that was strange, but wanted to investigate it for me if I could give him order numbers of people who ordered later and received earlier.

I’m not sure if it could be harmful to start spreading order numbers over the internet.

But if it’s not, could everybody who ordered later than me, and already have theirs shipped or in-house, give me their order numbers? Then I will send another email to Apple to ask for explanations.
If you could also please mention payment method, if you purchased at internet store and exact specs?

Curiouser and Curiouser...

At least I can be reasonably sure the plane didn't crash, as it seems likely the numbered packages adjacent to mine, which took the same route up until my plane took off, were travelling with it. And they landed - so unless my laptop was thrown from the plane somewhere over Siberia, I'm guessing it got to Europe.

Fingers crossed the lack of info means that the packages left the care of K+N and are winging their way to us as we wait patiently here (or sit hitting refresh on various tracking pages several times a minute).

This would be helpful for me too - even first and surname of those who ordered Im sure would be fine instead of order numbers - buty order numbers would be quicker - any help would be much appreciated
