Well poop. I have an AT&T S9+ and it's still on the February security patch. Sigh.

In happier news, through no action of my own, my camera lag is gone. I have no idea why or how. I may never know.:eek:

Maybe it's feeling put on notice because I've been eyeballing those red iPhones. :D

It's pretty hard to detect on the S9/9+ even if you did know what to look for. Since you don't want to know I won't tell you. ;)

I only know because I also own a Pixel 2 and it's really bad and in your face on those phones. I love my Pixel 2 anyway. An amazing phone. I have no regrets over buying it!
Here is a review that illustrates the issue. Not too bad on the s9 but could be better with some software tweaks (scroll about half way down the page)

Oh I like the rugged divers style watches on men. If I were taller and bigger myself I would wear a small one. But as it is, I'd look a bit odd. Well more odd than I already look. :p
Ladies colours do not look too bad but still has a heavy bezel

How much are they asking for that watch like 1300?
Yeah I think around that much. I was just looking at the Apple site, and for about that same price I would rather have an Apple Watch Hermès, because that would look better on my wrist and be a more versatile look for a variety of situations.

If I could bring myself to spend $1300 on a smart watch. So far that’s a mental barrier I can’t seem to break.

I spent around $500 on the original stainless steel Apple Watch. Mine is still functional and attractive so I just can’t bring myself to put that much into any one watch again. I checked on Apple’s site and the trade in value for it is only $75. No way am I replacing my original that still looks and works like the $500 watch I paid for, at that trade in value. It stays in the family (my teenager also wears it sometimes) until it doesn’t work at all anymore.

Unlike real watches, these smart watches just don’t hold their value. They actually depreciate pretty dramatically, which seems to be one of the many reasons true watch aficionados look down their noses at them.

So I’m just going to stick at the $350 mark with the sports models, dress them up with nice bands, and wear the hell out of them.

True I paid like 600 for the stainless and lost pretty much all my money when I sold the iPhone. I barley had the watch a full year...

The sport is really comfortable compared to the Stainless steel. Especially now that they used glass for the back instead of the plastic, which used to stick to my skin more.

When I get really dressed up on the rare occasions I have to go fully formal, I wear a circa 1940’s gold Hamilton wind up watch that my husband found in a roadside ditch when he was a kid and had restored for me about 30 years ago. :D

It's official, my SIM is back in my 8+ and I will be going back to iOS at least for a little bit. I think I would've stuck with Samsung had I gone Note 8 because the device is actually phenomenal. I'll just wait for the next crop of Android or iOS devices.

Here is the thing about patents: Just because a company patents an idea/concept does not mean it will actually be used for future products. It could be conceptual and meant to profit from just merely holding it.
That's unlikely in these circumstances.

It would be bad for Samsung to copy the notch concept because they need to differentiate themselves from Apple as much as they can.
They never done anything in the past to differentiate themselves From Apple and it’s never going to change, which is a shame because Samsung has been the only true to the costumers company lately.

They do differentiate from Apple in some aspects: Apple mocked the first Note. Samsung continued to make it into what the Note 8 is today. The S-Pen is a signature feature. LG copied it with the Stylo. Samsung makes the best OLED screens. Apple went to Samsung for the tech.

I was actually talking about Software wise and actually Samsung wasn't the first to introduce a feature rich pen in a phone, in fact back in the day I owned an LG cookie phone which had the pen with similar features to the S Pen.

Samsung makes the best OLEDS and there's nothing to counter that.

Samsung was the first mainstream company to do it with a big screen on Android though.

Well, their handling on my issues has been nothing short of awful. They just mailed back an older S9+ back to me.

I got my iPhone x out of the drawer today, can honestly say this is the first Samsung that has stopped the temptation to return to iOS. It's been 1 week up to now and I'm very happy with this purchase

Yeah Samsung is not bad at all. I like the phone and 60% of me wants to stick with it and the other 40% of me does want to return to Apple.

They sent back the 1st defective model I returned to them. Idk why either.

I do, Samsung service is useless there is incompetent stories of peoples problems on forums all over the net. As you have found out.
If you get a good one no probs a dud and its a NIGHTMARE.

That depends.

Where I am at, Samsung service is way better than Apple... the fact that apple doesn't have any store but Samsung has 2 full service centres.
