Now, usually I'm with you - but at some point you just need to jump in.

Sure. But in these cases, it's almost like a matter of "life and death" to me haha only buy now if you can't live the next months.

I mean, iphone 7 will have at least a better camera, a better cpu/gpu, better battery. This alone is more than sufficient to wait for it.

If you do get a defective iPhone just take it to an Apple Store who will give you a brand new one within an hour or so.

I don't see waiting 2 months as a smart solution just to avoid a defective phone.

Well I guess it is up to you. When I get a phone, I want it to work the entire time I have it. I do not want to go to the Apple store and deal with getting it replaced. And if it is a bad hardware defect, you might have to get multiple replaced.

Did any of you read the date on the first post, it's from January! I think you can all stop telling the OP that buying the 6S now would be a bad idea ;)

I just upgraded from my 6+ to the SE. Phone was acting crappy, mainly the touch screen wouldn't work. Was going to wait a couple months for the new iPhone, but couldn't deal with the problem anymore. Traded the 6+ at the Apple Store, and got full credit for it ($300), and paid for the 64gb SE straight out. Only 200 out my pocket. I'm happy with my decision.

If the iPhone 7 is good, I'll sell this SE, and get the 7. If it's not worth the upgrade, I'm just going to stick with the SE

How long did it take you to get used to the size diff again?

Took a day or so to get back to the small phone. I still do think it is small, but I like it. I can easily take my phone in and out my pockets is what I like. Sure the phone is smaller, and watching movies suck compared to the plus model, but I actually like the flat and sharp model of the 5 series.

It's like 13 weeks till the next iPhone. Too long to fence sit in my opinion. I'd just get a new phone now.

id say go for the 6s im wondering the same..

i currently have the iphone 6 64gb with tmobile but i feel as though the more i wait the less of a tradein value ill have.. this week apple is offering 225 towards a new iphone so wat do you guy think??

should i just go for the 6splus via apple or wait for the 7 ...

Go for the 6S and wait for 7S or what ever the 2017 iPhone will be called. This years update seems to be minimal according to rumors.

To Upgrade or Not to Upgrade, that is the question.

I'll be going against my own advice here, but I found a New Resale 64 GB 6s Plus for $659 and I'm thinking about pulling the trigger, even though I'll get the 7 in the fall. I can sell the 6s Plus once it gets closer to September or keep it to beta test and sell my iPhone 6. Considering it'll only cost me about $400 out of pocket for a phone that has years of life left in it, I think it may be worth it, but then again it may be my inner geek feeling the need to upgrade just for the sake of upgrading.

I had a 6+, was planning on holding out until 2017, but the touch screen malfunctioned and couldn't be repaired according to Apple. So I ended up getting on the Att next program with the upgrade every year option, got a 6s+ and will trade it in next year.
I'm really happy with the 6s, it's more of an upgrade from the 6 than I thought, so much faster and I find 3D Touch often.
So with that said, I'd say that 6s is still a viable option to go ahead and get now, pass over the 7, then upgrade next year.

My broken 6+ is on eBay now with a $142 bid!

2016 iPhone 7
vs
2017 iPhone Pro 10th Anniversary Edition (Limited Special Numbered Editions with luxury packaging)

Apple deliberately left the design of the iPhone 7 like 99% the same as the iPhone 6 to make the all new 2017 redesigned iPhone Pro a huge hit.

I just went to the 6s. A) my S6 Edge had been dropped so the screen wasn't in great order. Secondly, you're always gonna be chasing the the newest upgrade so I went 6s and will upgrade in 18months time. In the mean time just bring in a variety of cases for the new phone

I bought a silver 6s plus from swappa couple months ago. The phone was in really good condition. I
lost it already(boo hoo). I forgot to activate find iPhone. Granted I still have an SE and Note 5, but
somehow I really miss that 6s plus. I was looking at swappa again this morning, but I stopped myself
from even thinking about purchasing anything right now. I will wait for the 7 to come out and if I don't
like it, maybe the 6s plus's will be cheaper on swappa by then.

if you actually NEED a phone. get one now. the 6s is great. if you're able to manage now then just wait. I really needed to get a new phone 2 months ago so i got a 6s plus.

I guess with all the rumours the new phone this year will be more like an S series. Beefed up insides but not a lot of change on the outsides?

Yeah, the quandary, this is why I got the SE. It's a plain and simple phone, while I can sit on the sidelines and wait until I see something I really like. Maybe the7, or maybe 8. I won't be in a hurry to switch.
